    Very good point. It would be very gratifying if they could pull an Astros. Time for the Cubs to pick it up! And hopefully the idiotic Cardinal fans and White Sox fans (to Cubbies75: ahem, Joe Booze) can be at least a little classy over the Lee injury.

    Plus baseball's different than basketball in the sense that in the playoffs for basketball, the best team usually wins, while in basetball, its usually the hottest team. IMO, the Mavs have been one of the better teams in the NBA the last 5+ years, but not the best. And I sure as hell would take that for the Cubs, because I bet they'd get one World Series in that time.

    This is interesting. I know some people from Dallas and they absolutely love Cuban. I guess they haven't battled back and forth with him, though.

If he were to stay 100% out of all personnel decisions, then I would be OK with it. And despite what his public image is, he doesn't really care about the average fan. I've had a few e-mail "battles" back and forth with him on the issue. Please explain what over. This is very interesting. It started off over ticket prices when I tried to buy tickets when the Bulls were in town. I was surprised to get a response, but I wasn't satisfied with what he said, so I called him on it. We went back and forth for about a week. He's two-faced, not to mention cross-eyed. I see. Well, since you have lived in the Dallas area and know about Cuban, would you rather have him or the Tribune Company owning the Cubs?

    If Ramirez is ever gonna bust out and be a top 10 player, now would be a good time. And Jones, please start having a career year. And a career year by Pierre would be good as well. Time for the Cubs to step it up.

    Cabrera was going to cost more than we could have given BEFORE Lee went down. What makes you think thhat now that Lee is hurt, his cost would be equal? Also, Cabrera can't play 1B. He's a 3B. His proposal is too light, but Cabrera plays 3B, Ramirez 1B, then Cabrera moves to RF. When has Ramirez ever played 1B? It's not like he's a utility guy or something. He's nearly a liability at 3B, so I can't see him being worse at the easier position. Cabrera is a pretty solid at 3B so that would be a temporary improvement. I totally disagree with you, but I wouldn't mind having that problem on the Cubs.

    They need to do something. I'm really disappointed that this happened to Lee. Someone said it earlier, just when the season looked like it would be exciting, this happened. It'll interesting to see how the team plays now out of the gate. Man, this sucks.

    Me. I hope when he comes to Chicago he gets one of the worst receptions ever. I'm of course kidding about the punching him, but I hope the fans boo him louder than Jim Edmonds, anyone on the New York Knicks, Detroit Red Wings, or Kansas Jayhawks have ever been booed. :evil:
