  1. And Toby Alderweireld may be sold too. Some rumors (probably unreliable) of a package deal to Spurs.
  2. Really hoping Indianapolis' newly formed NASL team, the Indy Eleven, eventually becomes an MLS team. Indianapolis seems similar to some of the markets the MLS has really succeeded in and just drew quite well for the Chelsea-Inter Milan match (approximately 42,000). It is a pretty good sports town and I think an MLS team would pretty quickly surpass the Triple-A Indians as the summer sporting event of choice.
  3. Whyyyyyyyyyyy
  4. The Pacers have had a really good off-season -- even if I am dubious about Copeland. Trading for Scola is huge.
  5. Bravo bhogg! Most of the posters here have no clue who those guys were but you forgot a couple more busts.. Eric Duncan and David Parrish should slot right between Taylor and Kevin "no" Maas. Actually, I'm pretty sure the vast majority of the posters here know who Brien Taylor and Kevin Maas are...this isn't PSD. Agree, I was about to post something similar. I'd be money on most posters knowing those names.
  6. Randy Wells, lol. I thought this board mainly disliked the trade.
  7. Maybe it's not worth much, but I agree with you here. I'd be happy with Olt coming to the Cubs as a piece in the Garza trade. Does that mean I think Olt will end up coming good? Nope. But I pretty much work under the assumption that most prospects won't come good. But talent is talent; it doesn't always have linear, or even constant, improvement. Not that they're comparable players, but Domonic Brown and Chris Davis had been ostensibly left for dead at one point, too.
  8. You are a very dull human if you think it is fun to watch the process that has been going on here. Agreed. My buddy is a Giants fan, and we were discussing how the Giants have "tortured" their fans the past few years with all their close games. You want torture?? Try being a Cubs fan for over 30 years, then get back to me. I can think of a lot worse teams to be a fan of than the Cubs over the last 30 years. A lot? I sure can't. Over the last thirty years, the Orioles, Tigers, Royals, Mets, Twins, Dodgers, A's, Reds, Blue Jays, Braves, Yankees, Marlins, Diamondbacks, Angels, Red Sox, White Sox, Cardinals, Phillies, and Giants have won World Series. That's nineteen of the other twenty-nine teams. Of the remaining ten, the Padres, Indians, Astros, Rockies, Rays, and Rangers have at least played in a World Series. That means, in the last thirty years, only the Cubs, Mariners, Nationals/Expos, Brewers (World Series appearance in 1982 though), and Pirates have not played in a World Series. It hasn't been a lot of fun being a Cubs fan. And the current era is not yet helping matters.
  9. Hey, Tom Crean was totally right that Jordan Hulls would have a professional basketball career. Crean just didn't mention it would be in Poland.
  10. "It was love at first sight. The first time Samardzija saw the pitcher he fell madly in love with him."
  11. WHAT!?!? That sort of thing never happens.
  12. The Cardinals have neither won 51 games (yet) nor do they have the best record in the league. Apologies. Mistake edited. Point stands.
  13. This century, the Cardinals have won: 95 93 97 85 105 100 83 78 86 91 86 90 88 49 so far (second-best record in league) So, uh yeah, I'm going to go out on a limb and say they'll be good next year. And then you factor in all their young talent.
  14. I would have picked Reggie Bullock if I was the Bulls or Pacers. (Or perhaps just gambled on Richard Ledo.)
  15. Consecutive Plumlees for the Pacers? About to happen...
  16. I don't like him, but Muhammad is a really good pick at this point.
  17. I went back and read that thread a while ago. It wasn't that bad. The fact that there was a discussion who won the deal invariably makes it that bad.
  18. Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, and Steven Adams for James Harden? Trade rape for OKC, amirite? /NSBB 2012. Never forget.
  19. Pacers would surely love a point too.
  20. Pretty sad that this was Indiana's biggest accomplishment this year. They won the Big Ten title outright. The NCAA Tournament isn't the only thing that matters. Disagree. I've never seen Missouri advance to a Final Four. There is nothing that makes it sting any less. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather make the Final Four. But IU hadn't won an outright conference title in twenty years. That was one of my two goals for the team (along with a Final Four). Woah, Zeller!

  22. Woot! Highest Hoosier draftee since Isiah Thomas.
