  1. No that's Ron Powlus. whatever, they both suck For what it's worth Powlus was pretty good in college, I think. He was awful in the NFL, though. Not 4 Heisman's good.
  2. Wakefield no-no through 7. He hasn't issued any walks either but Boston has an error.
  3. That's about as quick a snuffing out of a rally as you'll ever see.
  4. That was more than a few years ago..I want to say 1999 Yep... http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN199905050.shtml Speaking of weird pitching lines, check out Pedro Astacio in that game.
  5. What was the question? The 1996 Rockies had Burks, Castilla, and Galarraga hit 40+ bombs.
  6. Didn't the Rockies have a game a few years ago in Wrigley where they scored in every inning?
  7. 3.0 IP, 4 ER, 5 H, 4 BB, 8 K is one of the more bizarre pitching lines you're going to see.
  8. You can't take a guy out while he's on pace to set the single game strikeout record.
  9. That Atkins 14 pitch at bat seemed to set that inning up.
  10. How's Harden's velocity? I'm assuming pretty good from the results thus far.
  11. Wasn't he strictly a drop back guy in high school? I suppose if he can play guard in big time college hoops he might be mobile enough to run Dick Rod's spread.
  12. Do you think this is the worst of the playoff teams the Bulls have had since the Jordan years? Hard to say. The East was much weaker in the years the Bulls have made the playoffs and I think this team is peaking (relative to its talent level/experience) at the end of the regular season. I'd probably put the 04-05 team as the weakest even though it had the best seed.
  13. It seems the schedule makers are giving the Bears a lot of hype with 5 prime time games.
  14. So Freeman is going to be in the green room? We could be looking at a Rodgers-esque wait. He must have some sort of assurance that he's going Round 1.
  15. Noah would give him a battle and at least make him work--he's been great lately. If Miller has to play him for any extended amount of time it'll be murder, though. And while we're on the topic of Noah, I have to say that he has been exhibiting a lot more offensive potential than I ever thought he had. He can't shoot at all (although with that FT form you'd expect him to be Ben Wallace/Shaq awful when he's nearly hits at a 70% clip) but he has fantastic hands, can handle the ball well, makes great passes, and is learning to set effective picks. I'm excited about him.
  16. Haha, suck it Detroit! DONT DO 'EM LIKE THAT BEN (and Derrick)!!
  17. Rose is just breathtaking in the open floor. What a move.
  18. This is shaping up to be a pretty good ending. Rose is taking over, too.
  19. Koyie is up to an .917 OPS after today's game. Geovany Pipp anyone??? But in all seriousness, Koyie is one of those guys that when he stands in the box he looks like he should be a better hitter than he really is. He passes the eye test. I'm liking him just fine so far though.
  20. Everyone knows opps didn't exist back then.
  21. Joe's Secrets of the Pros: Hitting home runs is better than hitting singles with a guy on 2nd.
  22. That's what Gregg should've been doing to Duffy on Friday.
  23. Wow, this is going to haunt Kenny Perry. Cabrera wins after being behind a tree on the first playoff hole.
