  1. And yeah, Noah's kind of a tool. But he's our tool. Every good team has to have one. He's the homeless man's version of The Worm.
  2. How do you even reconcile being a Cubs and a Celtics fan anyway? It's unconscionable.
  3. Man, Rondo is really annoying. Great player, even on the gimpy ankle.
  4. Whenever Steph is on the floor a sense of calm comes over me. Eddie House on the other hand scares me a little.
  5. Kirk can't stay on the floor.
  6. Yes, time to dust off the magic wheelchair.
  7. Miller gets that ball near the foul line after they show the pick on Rose and he just fakes himself out. He's too damn slow.
  8. He gets into black hole mode once in awhile and it just looks awful.
  9. Yeah, Noah and Tyrus just need to learn to block it to our own guys. It seemed like on the first half of those blocks they went directly to Celtics players.
  10. Thank god for Lindsey Hunter.
  11. Bulls looked wayyy more nervous for the start of this game than the start of Game 1. They weathered an early storm and are only down by 6. Gordon and Salmons look pretty good. And the Miller haters have to admit, he boxes out much better than Tyrus does. He was getting waxed on the defensive glass.
  12. Yeah. For the first 9 minutes or so the Bulls were doing a horrible job of picking up Rondo before he had a full head of steam. Noah or Ty would block his shot and Baby/Perk would clean up. And as I type this, Tyrus spazzes out on a 2 on nothing fast break.
  13. There's two quick fouls on Rose. Rondo is killing with the pushes in transition. Gotta pick him up sooner.
  14. I do think Perkins was mostly mouthing off but we should expect Thibodeau and the Celtics to throw a different defensive game plan at Rose tonight. It'll be up to him and Vinny to adjust properly. I'm thinking Ben Gordon will need to show up before the last half of the 4th quarter tonight.
  15. Somewhere, Dwight Howard is frowning. I figured somebody would bring that up. The two of them are dead even by most experts opinions. About half choose Howard and half choose Yao. I choose Yao for obvious reasons but you should look at their head-to-head stats. I don't really think it's even all that close. Yao is a better shooter. Leaps and bounds a better shooters. But, what does he do better than Howard outside of jump shots and FTs? Howard has only missed 3 total games in his 5 seasons in the league. Yao has missed 93 in 7 seasons. Howard is much better defensively and pulls down a whole lot more boards. Yao's not just a better shooter...he's a better overall offensive player. Better shooter, better post moves, better passer, etc. Howard is still pretty raw when it comes to establishing himself on the block and carrying an offense that way. In fact, I'm not sure he'll ever be a true #1 option on offense in the mold of Hakeem, Ewing, Robinson, etc. If you've got Howard, you've got to surround him with shooters because you can take him out of the game offensively otherwise. But yeah, I'd still take Howard because of his defense, youth, health, and conditioning (Yao isn't going to ever be a guy that can play 40 minutes consistently).
  16. I wonder if Hollinger still thinks Brook Lopez should be RotY.
  17. Yeah probably. But Thomas is a 78% FT shooter, has good form, and has shown he can make open jumpers in stretches this year. It's not like Noah was out there draining shots. Ray Allen is harder to figure. He was horrific for over a month of playoff basketball last year.
  18. Miller is such an infuriating (yet useful) player. He's too slow for even an effective pick and pop game because he takes so long to load up his shot and then he'll ball fake, lumber towards the basket, and if he isn't called for a travel throw up some horrible pass/shot up. But at the same time, he has stretches where he holds down the interior and is a total glass eater (especially with Noah). I think you have to give Vinny credit for playing Miller/Tyrus when matchups warranted it. And oh yeah, Derrick FREAKING Rose.
  19. Oh my god I just finished the game on DVR. Most nerve racking NBA game I've watched since Game 6 against Utah.
  20. Hmm. The clock did stop. I didn't think there was anyway Miller would've had time for that. Gordon did get fouled on the 3 though.
  21. Miller's body can't keep up with his head. I've never seen a player fake himself out so much.
  22. It only took 83 games for Derrick to start getting calls.
  23. That "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" movie looks worse than the Holocaust.
  24. Derrick and Jo look great on offense. Gotta play both ways though.
