  1. Classic longwinded Hochuli.
  2. Pisa rules. The difference between him and Hunter is night and day.
  3. I loathe this Chase Sapphire commercial.
  4. Damnit Payne, I want to like you.
  5. The 3-4 is about as gimmicky as the forward pass and facemasks.
  6. Guns is allowed to ref in Denver again?
  7. Good stuff defensively there.
  8. Collinsworth is the best color man in the NFL and no one else is even really close.
  9. Nice to see Pace and Williams get owned on back to back plays by a line that was absolutley horrific last season.
  10. I'd go insane if I had to wait another week for a game.
  11. http://deadspin.com/5345287/the-confessions-of-an-nba-scorekeeper?skyline=true&s=x This is an article about a former NBA scorekeeper for the Grizzlies who discusses how he artificially inflated stat totals (especially blocks and assists). There's also a hilarious example of how a team in the 1990s under reported stats ostensibly to decrease the market value of its own players. You'll NEVER guess what team it was! The Shareef Abdur Rahim home/road splits are just comical.
  12. Without ND's decided schematic advantage, it'll be a disaster.
  13. when can we expect the other seven 5-star QB's to transfer? After the houses close escrow.
  14. Corp seemed to have the leg up early on, did he lose ground when he got hurt? I think he's probably a bit more hurt than has been let on, yeah. Corp's been really secure with the ball in the practices and Barkley's been interception prone. My feeling is that Corp is probably still banged up (and mobility is the one area where he really shines over Barkley) and Carroll feels secure enough putting Barkley in because there's a lot of other returning starters on offense.
  15. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4426998 True freshman Matt Barkley named starter for USC. I'm pretty damn surprised by this. Carroll's always played the more experienced guy at QB.
  16. I wish the Giants had thrown some more. Couldn't really tell much about the starting secondary last night, outside of Payne breaking that one up. It's always hard to tell how the secondary does on the regular broadcast but I thought they looked decent. Manning had to check down a lot and the DBs were always right there to wrap them up quickly.
  17. DVRed the game on NFL Network. I'm excited about the LB corps despite Urlacher not wrapping up on some tackles. Pisa really flies around out there...Briggs is still awesome 8-)
  18. What do they have to do with Memphis? There's just as many examples of schools losing high profile coaches and still maintaining elite levels. There a lot of examples of [expletive] conference schools losing high profile coaches and not missing a beat? The Self to Weber transition was pretty seamless--and then Weber started getting talent commensurate with the rest of the conference.
  19. I'm still remembering training camp in 2007 when every report was glowing, Rex was amazing, the offense was adding tons of new wrinkles, etc. I'm confident in Cutler but the last thing I want is the team believing its own press clippings.
