  1. There were several times last night where Cutler needed to eat the sack. I think the reason he was sacked so few times last year is because he absolutely would rather sling it than take a sack (not to mention a much better offensive line) but he needs to eat it once in awhile. He's like the anti-Rodgers in that regard. If we didn't have to play from behind the sticks so much because the running game was getting stuffed then it wouldn't be as big an issue.
  2. Matt Forte isn't the biggest problem with the running game but he's kind of getting to be a big one. I almost wish it'd come out that he was nursing a significant injury because then I'd have hope he'd get better.
  3. So is there any question that Forte is kind of a [expletive] and runs with zero authority?
  4. I wish only one completely embarrassing performance were enough to get this defense motivated and performing.
  5. Bennett made a completely unnecessary cut that cost him a few yards, although he wouldn't have gotten the first anyway. I guess we're gun shy now.
  6. Tommie's having a game. Please stay motivated and on the field!
  7. Apparently Matt Millen thinks its NEVER OK for a punt returner to let the ball hit the ground.
  8. I'd be fine with that. Come on guys. It's not a bears forum. Cubbie Bum should definitely expect to be in the minority, but why shouldn't he be allowed to cheer for his team? Because if you're a Cubs fan and a fan of some team other than the Bears when it comes to football we don't really want your subhuman opinions around here anyway
  9. Non-receivers have 11 out of the 15 receptions and 119 out of 164 receiving yards.
  10. Slipped coming out of his break on a deep out and the SF defensive back picked it and returned it down near the Bears goal line.
  11. I always thought the whole idea the Hester couldn't run routes and was completely unpolished was a bit overblown by the national media who didn't actually watch him game to game. I've never seen him do anything close to that bad.
  12. Time to bomb it before we get too close to the end zone.
  13. I'm having a hard time getting over that pick. He's so surgical when he needs to be and then he turns the Grossman brain on down near the goal line.
  14. it was horrible play calling in the red zone. Two boring runs with a bad rb behind and bad line, then a play action without any recievers. Unbelievable. Cutler forced it because he probably had to. That throw/decision was indefensible. The play had no chance of working from the beginning and that's on Turner (and the whole sequence of downs) but Cutler HAS to throw that ball away.
  15. That's as bad an INT as Rex ever threw. Just brutal.
  16. Forte is actually making something out of nothing on some of these carries which is helping a bit...the timing of the hand offs seems off though. Forte's never at or near full speed when he's getting the ball even if it's a basic power play.
  17. I can't wait to see what Turner concocts for this drive.
  18. There's exactly the kind of receiver the Bears lack. I think Crab caught that but I'm not sure there's enough to overturn it.
  19. I'm looking at Kevin Seifert's breakdown of the Bears defensive decline: http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id/5893/tracing-the-bears-defensive-decline What's the deal with Gilbert, Melton, and Moore? Are they ever gonna see the field? The list of defensive players we've drafted since 2005 is pretty shocking(ly bad).
  20. Wale and Davis jawing at each other during warm ups. Afalava out for the Bears, Bruce out for the Niners.
