    I just have to wonder if Carroll fell in love with his own genius and stuck with Barkley unnecessarily. He was horrible the entire 2nd half of the season and regressed a ton. Mustain couldn't have played better than that? What a disastrous season.

    Woohoo, Poinsettia Bowl! Silver lining: We know it wasn't Jeremy Bates (current USC OC and Denver's OC in 2008) that made Cutler look good last year. Now we can hire Shanahan for the Bears and be confident we've got a good offensive mind. Also, Barkley needs a ton of work.

    I was in a Buffalo Wilds Wings about a year ago when suddenly dozens and dozens of MMA fans started pouring in. I didn't even know there was a fight, there was no cover that night. Were there Tapout and Affliction shirts 4 rows deep at the bar?

    Bars often charge covers for big fights. Usually in the $10-$20 range. At least that's the case in boxing not sure about MMA.

    Fisher's shot a few seconds earlier was huge also but yeah, great shot by Kobe. Odom got screwed over earlier in that thing. If you're going to eject him, then you have to eject O'Neal also. They should have received the same punishment. That show was almost as crazy as the buzzer beaters he made against Portland a few years ago.

    No I don't think it'll be a trend either but if we say that Tiger's career is roughly halfway done I think we can confidently predict that he won't win another 14 majors always having the lead going into the final round and then holding it. Even if he loses just a couple of those that could extend the time it takes for him to break the all time record by years.

De La Hoya/Mayweather did 2.7 million PPV buys and this is actually a good match up.

    It does have a little "methinks he doth protest too much" feel to it. When something like this goes down wives are going to give their husband's crap, and they have little choice but to bad mouth him. I feel like he's being honest and is upset though. He could easily see her as sort of a daughter. Reminds me of Eddie Murphy in Raw. Halfway through:

    I think he's going to really have to grind for awhile to break Jack's record. I thought that was the case before all of this came out. There was a point where I thought he'd roll up 25+ majors but I don't see it happening any more. I think the tour has closed the gap a little and maybe Y.E. Yang actually beating Tiger the way he did will help others from crumbling so often.

    I'm sure he hired Elin to be his nanny purely for her excellent references and demonstrated attentiveness towards children.

    Well, no. I'm just saying I don't really feel that bad for Elin. If Parnevik wants to throw gasoline on the fire that's fine by me. Obviously, no pro at the top of his game will say anything negative about it (although Sergio might mumble something under his breath like the little girl he is).

    Would it really be "miraculous" for a team like Algeria or Slovenia (or even the US) to beat a team like England? How does an upset in international soccer compare to an upset in other sports? More or less common?
