  1. I'm looking forward to the playoffs and will watch way too many games. The OKC/LA series could be VERY interesting with the Lakers hurt/scuffling down the stretch. KD could go off in the national spotlight. Most of the country has no clue how good this guy is.
  2. Well if Salmons had played that way all year we would've never traded him because there would've been zero chance he wouldn't have opted out into free agency. He's made himself good coin since he's been traded. We'd also probably in contention for at least a 6th seed, even with all the injuries because we'd have banked more wins earlier on. I'm glad we finished out strong because it makes us look more attractive and I just flat out want to see the Bulls in the playoffs. But if that 0-10 stretch had floundered on and there was no bounce back once we got healthy, yes, I do think we would look worse to FAs than we do now. Now we can be a pain in the ass to the Cavs and maybe nab a win or two and I like our position to land a big fish.
  3. And of course Tim in two months time will claim I said John Salmons is better than Kobe Bryant.
  4. John Salmons has been the 2nd best shooting guard in basketball since the trade. Yes, better than Kobe, Roy, and Joe Johnson. He's been outrageously efficient on the Bucks and led them on a huge run.
  5. Yes, clearly the trades did nothing to diminish the quality of the team because the Bulls proved they were just as good by getting in by the narrowest possible margin when they were in contention for a 5th seed just before the trades. In fact it was the trades that made the Raptors go into the tank at the same time the Bulls did to keep them within striking distance. Also, Salmons didn't make the Bucks better at all. Flip is actually better and Warrick isn't a horrific defender and rebounder either. Taking things out of context is fun!
  6. I've always loved Flip Murray.
  7. Flip is throwing the game.
  8. Good start. Noah is a god damned beast out there. Hopefully he doesn't hit a wall after playing so many minutes last night.
  9. Well I was talking purely about salary. Only Shaq has made more on that and Garnett will match him by the time his current deal is up (close to $300 million). Not sure what Garnett grossed through endorsements but he was very marketable for awhile. Obviously he'll be passed by Kobe, James, etc. in time.
  10. I didn't bring up Rose's intelligence, somebody else said he was too smart to crash a motorcycle and end his career. I'm well aware that it has nothing to do with on-court performance, one of the reasons Garnett went pro out of high school was because he couldn't qualify. Kevin Garnett shouldn't have spent a second in college even if he had a 4.0 and a 1600 on his SATs. It's easy to say that in retrospect, but who was the last guy to go to the NBA from high school before Garnett? Moses Malone? Well yes, I think retrospectively, it's very easy to conclude that the majority of players who jumped from high school to the NBA made the right decision. The track record is quite good. Even the guys who were disappointments (Chandler, Curry types) have made crap loads of money. There are not 3 human beings who have made more money playing basketball than Kevin Garnett.
  11. A Bobcats team with nothing to play for beating a desperate Bulls team and Suppan throwing a 2 hit shutout are preordained.
  12. I think Hart's confidence is broken. He isn't the same guy he used to be. Ever since he lost that epic douche-off with Hunter Pence.
  13. Glad to have our XBH machine up here.

  15. MJ, Call off the dogs tomorrow. Y'all got nothing to play for. We're going to need it because Kirk just blew his wad for the next couple seasons with his play against Boston.
  16. Unfortunately no. They could still both end up 52-30 and the first tiebreaker would be division winners not head to head and Boston would own that tiebreaker.
  17. I would think more than even money. Chicago and Toronto both have 2 games left. Therefore, there are 16 total possibilities for outcomes. Of those 16 possibilities, 11 of them will have the Bulls making the playoffs. That's assuming all opponents are of equal quality which isn't the case. Hopefully BG will pick up all his old pals in Chicago and drop 50 on Toronto tonight.
  18. By losing one of the last 2 games, most likely. A Boshless Toronto isn't much better than Detroit or New York. Boston and Charlotte don't have anything left to play for do they?
  19. Is it just me or are Len and Bob meaner, in a good way, this year? I think it's hilarious. When we're 20 games out in July they should be lobbing some real grenades.
  20. Nah. Look at the remaining schedules Bulls: @ TOR vs. BOS @ CHA Raps: vs. CHI @ NYK vs. DET So if the Bulls did win and take a 1 game lead, you have to either hope the Raps lose to one of the two worst teams in the league, or the Bulls have to win out against Boston and Charlotte. It's possible, but likely? No. I'd like our chances if we beat Toronto. Then again I'm an idiotic optimist.
  21. Sign/draft/trade for any big 2 guard that can knock down open jumpers and make Deng the 6th man.
  22. My god that was some epic gagging at the line. Kirk, why can't you play like that more often? Knocking down jumpers and locking down an on fire Mo Williams (who was still making some crazy ass 3s).
  23. Really good leaderboard so far.
  24. By SSR's perception of reality there are like 2 legitimate champions in NCAA history (all sports).
