  1. Glad to have our XBH machine up here.
  2. I didn't bring up Rose's intelligence, somebody else said he was too smart to crash a motorcycle and end his career. I'm well aware that it has nothing to do with on-court performance, one of the reasons Garnett went pro out of high school was because he couldn't qualify. Kevin Garnett shouldn't have spent a second in college even if he had a 4.0 and a 1600 on his SATs.
  3. MJ, Call off the dogs tomorrow. Y'all got nothing to play for. We're going to need it because Kirk just blew his wad for the next couple seasons with his play against Boston.
  4. Unfortunately no. They could still both end up 52-30 and the first tiebreaker would be division winners not head to head and Boston would own that tiebreaker.
  5. I would think more than even money. Chicago and Toronto both have 2 games left. Therefore, there are 16 total possibilities for outcomes. Of those 16 possibilities, 11 of them will have the Bulls making the playoffs. That's assuming all opponents are of equal quality which isn't the case. Hopefully BG will pick up all his old pals in Chicago and drop 50 on Toronto tonight.
  6. By losing one of the last 2 games, most likely. A Boshless Toronto isn't much better than Detroit or New York. Boston and Charlotte don't have anything left to play for do they?
  7. Is it just me or are Len and Bob meaner, in a good way, this year? I think it's hilarious. When we're 20 games out in July they should be lobbing some real grenades.
  8. Nah. Look at the remaining schedules Bulls: @ TOR vs. BOS @ CHA Raps: vs. CHI @ NYK vs. DET So if the Bulls did win and take a 1 game lead, you have to either hope the Raps lose to one of the two worst teams in the league, or the Bulls have to win out against Boston and Charlotte. It's possible, but likely? No. I'd like our chances if we beat Toronto. Then again I'm an idiotic optimist.
  9. Sign/draft/trade for any big 2 guard that can knock down open jumpers and make Deng the 6th man.
  10. My god that was some epic gagging at the line. Kirk, why can't you play like that more often? Knocking down jumpers and locking down an on fire Mo Williams (who was still making some crazy ass 3s).
  11. Really good leaderboard so far.
  12. By SSR's perception of reality there are like 2 legitimate champions in NCAA history (all sports).
  13. Isn't being able to put traffic in front of the net consistently something skilled teams do? I've watched enough hockey recently to realize that those deflections are at least partly skill. Since I've started following (a bit) I've come to appreciate the ability to deliberately direct a puck in the air with a stick. It's impressive.
  14. There's never been a pitcher who was so good at missing bats that had such a hard time missing bats. He puts up some wacky lines, that's for sure. i was just kidding, gameday was wrong about him getting out of the inning. he issued two more walks and was taken out. his final line was 3.2 IP, 1 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 5 BB, 8 K, 1 HBP, 90 pitches/52 strikes. that's one bad thing about harden, he's so tough to hit and his control is always marginal, so his pitch count is always going to be high and that leads to a taxed bullpen. that and he gets hurt all the time. I think he gets fouled off more than most pitchers. Does anyone keep that stat?

  16. Did you miss the bad call at first that sparked the 2 runs last inning? Or the ball that Prado missed that was inexplicably ruled a hit instead of an error just before Glaus doubled Ramirez off?
  17. I think a healthy Bulls team could give the Cavs a frisky 5 or even 6 game series. They'd be motivated at least unlike the beyond washed up Detroit team that got destroyed by Cleveland last year.
  18. 51 points through 3 quarters :| And Bosh got taken to the hospital after being elbowed in the head.
  19. Is that the biggest "almost" since the Titans/Rams Super Bowl? Bigger. That "only" would've sent the game into OT (assuming the Titans went for the PAT). I'm thinking...there's never been a moment like that in the history of American sports. Chalmers making the 3 against Memphis was just as do or die but it was only to tie the game and it wasn't a half court buzzer beater. The Ice Bowl comes to mind. Yeah but that was a QB sneak. If you combine the Flutie Hail Mary with the stakes of the Ice Bowl then you'd have something equivalent to that shot if it had went in (ignoring that football is much more popular than college hoops).
