  1. Reggie Miller needs to get off TV.
  2. Can you imagine a coach that would call for isolating Rose less than VDN? He always brings Noah to set a screen. It's insanity--there isn't anyone one the planet who can stay in front of Rose 1-on-1 consistently but Vinny always wants to bring a 2nd defender to him.
  3. I think you're thinking of Brandon McGowan. Harris started on the 05 and 06 teams and was pretty productive.
  4. I'm reading a (surprisingly active) Panthers message board and apparently Harris was mouthing off on Twitter about management cutting Brad Hoover. They also picked up some other DBs recently. The good news is that the general consensus seems to be that they're trading a player who was very good for them and they're praying the replacements are adequate.
  5. okay, now it won't be good to have him back. jamar williams is a star waiting to happen. LB is deep and the safeties are bad. Harris/Wright should be a huge upgrade over the MASH unit that was back there last year.
  6. Marcus Fizer is not walking through that door.
  7. Vasgersian was my favorite.
  8. It's easier to digest a big blowout than just a moderate blowout. Now I'm not hanging on every play.
  9. Lebron fouls with impunity and then complains when he doesn't get a clear path called.
  10. The difference between the UC crowd and the one OKC had yesterday is night and day.
  11. Miller makes a lot of dumb plays for a savvy veteran. Know your limitations.
  12. I don't watch a lot of MAC football but that Freddie Barnes guy we signed as an UDFA was unstoppable last year. He had 155 receptions for 1,770 yards and 19 touchdowns in 2009.
  13. Chicago Bears Summary: Chicago was absent for two rounds, but tried to address needs when they entered the picture. The Bears neither reached nor got amazing value in Major Wright, the Florida safety. But they needed a safety, and Wright has a real chance to fill that void. Corey Wootton wasn't 100 percent in 2009 after coming off a bad knee injury, and could be a camp surprise. A decent pick. Overall, like any team stuck outside the top two rounds, the Bears were hard-pressed to find impact talent, but they were resourceful given their limitations. (The late add of a local quarterback never hurts.) Draft grade: B
  14. We need any kind of blockers. Cutler, and especially the WRs, are not good enough where we can go sling the ball around with a crappy running game and expect to have a good offense ala San Diego or Indy. Also Forte needs to be a lot better.
  15. Also I would not be opposed to Faneca. We need someone on the interior who can blast guys at the point of attack.
  16. That Joshua Moore scouting report is pretty nice. Sounds like a good fit for the cover 2 (a 4.5 CB in a cover 2 is perfectly fine speed wise). And it sounds like he'll stick his nose in there on run support. This defense needs to be a top 10 unit next year (maybe top 5) with the additions and guys coming back from injury. Possibly top 5 because Cutler is probably going to get murdered.
  17. If we're just gonna ignore the line I'd rather have drafted a WR there. I think our CB depth is not bad.
  18. Is anyone even sure that Juaquin Iglesias and DJ Moore are still alive?
  19. He's good and should be a starter from Day 1 which is needed after many of the guys we drafted last year barely saw the field.
  20. I would not be surprised if Steve Young is having some degenerative stuff going on in his brain from all the concussions. He's pretty loopy.
  21. Steve Young is acting like McCoy is in this great situation comparable to Clausen's while Bradford is getting condemned in St. Louis. It's Cleveland. They're nearly as bad as St. Louis. The difference is that Bradford will have $50 million in guaranteed money to cheer him up.
  22. I'm assuming Wright will be an immediate starter alongside who? D. Manning is probably strictly a nickle back and returner at this point. Afalava tried hard but was pretty bad. Bullocks and Payne are camp fodder at best. Did Steltz do anything to show he could play SS?
  23. He was a very good PR this past year. He's kind of Earl Bennett-y if you ask me (who I think basically sucks). Not real physical, not real fast, but runs great routes and catches everything.
  24. All right, I can live with Major Wright. Good football name at least.
