  1. I'm wondering what games (esp. against GB) you've been watching where a good WR would be a nice luxury and not an urgent, gaping need. It's a huge, huge problem. Hester has caught like 2 balls for 30 odd yards or something against the Packers this season. Knox isn't much better.
  2. Aren't all knee ligament tears basically called knee sprains until the MRI comes in?
  3. The offense will continue to be a disjointed mess as long as Jay isn't throwing perfect balls through one foot windows to these midget WRs who are utterly incapable of getting separation against good DBs who are paying attention.
  4. Sanchez just chop blocked his all pro center out of the game.
  5. I distinctly remember a play on one of the next series where Raji "hit" Hanie in the helmet with his and it wasn't called. It would've been an incredibly lame call but right by the book. The idea that these helmet to helmet hits on the QB (or anyone else) are always by the book and never missed just isn't accurate. They frequently let them slide because it's the only way to make the play in the shortest amount of time. Happens all the damn time.
  6. Except when it's not called which happens all the time.
  7. That was some of the dumbest goal line play calling by the Jets I've ever seen.
  8. The grounding was questionable but didn't wind up hurting them. The helmet to helmet was a valid call. Valid by the book. I didn't really see how Peppers could've avoided it without taking himself out of the play.
  9. So I was at a bar with the volume not at as loud as it should've been, would I be way off base to say the refs were terrible? What did you guys think of those grounding calls and the helmet to helmet by Pep on Rodgers?
  10. We haven't done "quite well" in the era when a QB actually had to complete passes down field on a consistent basis. Even today we're smoke and mirrors and balls out effort by the defense just to stay in the game. The Bears basically have to play closer to their A game than any other good to elite team to win against other good teams.
  11. Impressive effort. Too bad he doesn't have the skill for impact. not sure if serious at some point i would've split Forte out wide on all pass plays. he's the only one that can get open with consistency Very serious. Nice player but no impact. Well he's not a home run hitter but he and a Jennings looked like the best offensive players on the field by far.
  12. I see what you're saying but he did a lot of turning short gains into biggish plays the last half of the season. I was really down on him last year, and he's not gonna blow you away with his athleticism, but he's been pretty damn good.
  13. Impressive effort. Too bad he doesn't have the skill for impact. not sure if serious at some point i would've split Forte out wide on all pass plays. he's the only one that can get open with consistency
  14. Forte is a god damned superstar though
  15. I invite anyone to look at Knox and Hester's #'s cumulatively against GB this season. They're pretty horrifying.
  16. This is seriously stupid. I am going to go ahead and say medical reports will come back in favor of Cutler not playing. It isn't going to be a big deal after that. it's entirely possible but the cold logic of nsbb does not dictate the media narrative in Chicago sadly
  17. You are all being facetious but yeah it would look a lt better if jay were in the locker room. Face it, it's going be a big dumb angle that he and the team will have to answer for alllllll offseason long. It's nt fair at all but that's life, stupid as it is
  18. why? he's a part of the team and probably cared about the outcome of the game. what are they going to do, have him sit in the locker room with his thumb up his butt watching the game by himself? well I don't necessarilly agree with it. But I'll just tell you that tomlinson did the same exact thing with a much better track record with Sd and a bunch f idiots never ever forgave him. perception is reality and all that dumb [expletive]. Jay will have to fight a bunch of stupid pr angles next season book it
  19. The Bears media relations team surely has a lot to do with what happens on the sidelines during the game. the fact that were talking about this and the fact that this conversation will last alllllll offseason sorta proves the point tho. it's just short sighted
  20. I was just saying you [expletive] spazzes. At the very least it was stupid pr to have jay on the sidelines. Same [expletive] happened to tomlinson when Mhe looked to ve sulking on the sidelines. I blame our asstaetic receivers who you dopes actually think are adequate.
  21. Also without reading the thread did we all bitch about not taking a to after that horrible third down call
  22. Just to add some context rivers actually had a knee operation on the Monday before that arc title game.
  23. How about he beats one on one press coverage for once
