  1. I know you're being facetious, but I want to talk about it anyway. The Packers will likely run the table against the AFC West with San Diego (away) being the most difficult matchup. Raiders (home) and Chiefs (away) look like push-overs. The other 6 games are Minnesota (home), TB (home), Detroit (away), New York Giants (away), Chicago (home), Detroit (home). Tampa Bay may or may not be a pushover. It depends on what team shows up. I think the Thanksgiving game will be a battle, but the Lions are definitely starting to look more vulnerable so I think GB wins. I really like that the Packers have four extra days to prepare for the Giants game (Giants are in NO on Monday night and Packers will be coming off the Thanksgiving game). I think the greatest chance to lose a regular season game will be either one of the last two games because if they are undefeated they will have already locked up homefield advantage and the games will probably be very important for both the Bears and Lions. Green Bay's defense has had issues all year. If they don't solve some, I could see them losing some games although the schedule is favorable. I'm not about to consider an undefeated record as that is incredibly hard to do. Especially if, even if they do make it to the last couple of weeks undefeated, they'll likely have nothing to play for against teams who will be fighting for the playoffs. Completely disagree that an undefeated NFL team has nothing to play for if they've got everything locked up. Going undefeated is a BFD and the Pats coming so close just a few years ago has only upped the ante.
  2. Naw, Stanford will handle us pretty easily. Oregon is in video game mode again with their offense.
  3. That Prater field goal looked like it was shot out of a cannon.

  10. Can't believe the SC/ND line is in the 8-9 point range
  11. cya Rick Who's on the wish list for UCLA fans Raisin? I'm sure they'll hire someone really underwhelming and not even make a real effort at a good coach.
  12. Oh my god this dog [expletive] team is going to win the World Series again
  13. Nice range at first there by Young
  14. UCLA vs. Arizona Pac-12 tickle fight tonight
  15. Hoyer was really good about batting down idiot sports talk radio hosts and callers. They would not stop bitching about Petco being such a pitcher's park.
  16. And it didn't take him all that long to do that. When did he get hired? Fall 2009? But it wasn't because of drafting. He did get two really good packages in the Gonzalez and Mike Adams trades, though.
  17. Typing up a manifesto for erik
  18. Is it weird that C.C. is your friend's dad
  19. Theo needs to be screened for Tay-Sachs
  20. *sigh* Moorad and Ricketts are buddies. Moorad loves Byrnes. Therefore, Moorad will not stand in the way of Hoyer coming to the Cubs, thereby allowing him to promote Byrnes to GM. Your annoyance by my very existence is amusing to me. This forum must amuse the hell out of you then. pages late but LOL
  21. I'm hearing that the reason Moorad would let Hoyer walk in the first place is because he loves Byrnes. I think we get one but not both and probably Hoyer.
  22. Does that not sound like something Epstein would desire given what we know about him and his past? Yeah, definitely. I'm sure Hoyer has worked just as hard but he hasn't banked the good will like Theo has. The glory will go to Theo just as much whether his title is President of Baseball ops or GM at this point.
  23. Yes. Taking the most backward organization in the majors and turning it into the most advanced is a part-time job. If he's outsourcing all the day to day baseball duties to the GM it sure gets a lot closer to it. Guys like Epstein get to these positions because they're super smart and work 18 hour days, if he goes to 12 hour days because someone like Hoyer is taking on all the traditional duties of a GM it'll feel like a part time job in comparison. In any case, I don't think it's just a titular distinction. Epstein will be in the trenches doing the nitty gritty to some degree I imagine.
