  1. He wasn't told that, and Sandusky had been retired for three years. He absolutely was told that, he admitted it in sworn testimony. And if you don't want to count Sandusky as a current subordinate then it's even worse that he never contacted the police. no, that's not worse. at all. if he were a subordinate then paterno could arguably be considered the top of the chain of command, and perhaps be the person obligated to contact police. since he was not sandusky's boss any more, he passed the complaint along to the people whose job it is to deal with matters like that. paterno has been quite consistent throughout his career in staying out of legal matters when his players are involved. he lets the administration handle it. as for the sworn testimony, please point me to where paterno was told by mcqueary that a rape had occurred. I only leafed through the grand jury report but it sure as hell seems the GA told Paterno what was going on in the shower.
  2. I'm an old man! I was confused!
  3. Boise doesnt deserve a shot under any plausible scenario.
  4. Nice set of downs by Bama there
  5. Stanfords skill guys wouldnt stand a chance against these secondaries.
  6. I feel like the colors on my TV are hosed watching the OSU/KSU game. Not enough contrast between OSUs helmets and pants and the turf.
  7. JoePa is truly the pope of college football
  8. What does Dad's Trip mean
  9. The NBA was in a pretty bad way when the Spurs and Pistons were dominating. But the rules are more offense friendly and the young talent is extremely high right now. The NBA is (or was) the strongest its been since Jordan retired at least until this lockout came up.
  10. Eh, I don't see MLB as being that far ahead of the NBA in popularity. The most marketable athletes in America are NBA players.
  11. lol @ Jordan Taylor being preseason first team all-American.
  12. I saw this a couple of weeks ago when they were talking about proposed changes to the CBA. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, Booze. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7147880/nba-most-likely-amnesty-candidates Yeah I didn't think they would use it on Boozer this year. The cool thing about the amnesty is that it can be used during any time in this CBA (when accepted), and it only applies to contracts signed before the lockout. So maybe Boozer breaks down 2 years from now, and if he does, we can release him at any point. Assuming there's a season can we use the amnesty after the season is over and still get under the cap to make a run at the 2012 FAs? I don't think losing Boozer would hurt all that much but there isn't much sense is cutting him loose now if there isn't an immediate plan to replace him. I'd love to make a run at Howard. Who else is worth going after in the 2012 class?
  13. Good showing by Dallas here
  14. Finally some tight games
  15. Jesus, it's just no fair that Johnson can explode out of a slip screen like that
  16. Well at least the only team that has a prayer of beating LSU or Bama is still alive
  17. ok, nice toss
  18. No way Barkley doesn't blow it here
  19. You know coaches are way too enamored with the saving timeouts on last minute drives. They think just because they pick up a first down it's not worth it to immediately call a timeout and they invariably waste 5 more seconds. Now USC goes to overtime with two timeouts left in their pocket. Thank you Vinny Del Kiffin!
  20. just looking at the box score now, but wasn't that the first penalty assessed against usc (versus 9 against stanford)? That has nothing to do with anything. Edit: My "another" descriptor has to do with McDonald being tagged with several horrible, game altering personal foul calls throughout the year.
  21. Hey look another dogshit called on TJ McDonald. Utter horse [expletive].
  22. SUCK IT LUCK
  23. Stanford just called a direct snap to the tailback on 3rd and 9 and had Luck lined up out wide.
