  1. whatever happened to Matthew Lesko?
  2. They don't have any sturdy folding chairs laying around?
  3. Tiger and Adam Scott (meaning Steve Williams) got put in the same foursome at the President's Cup.
  4. Obama contracted what was left of Rondo's jumper
  5. I was tooling around on twitter and discovered if you go to www.openchime.com Hunter Hillenmeyer might initiate a chat with you.
  6. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/15/joseph-amendola-jerry-sandusky-impregnated-teen_n_1095005.html Sandusy's attorney impregnated a 17 year old girl
  7. Denver gonna win the division yo
  8. I'm no cap expert but a huge factor in payroll is actually having players good enough to make it worth going over the cap to resign and going into luxury tax territory. And those players come from being smart/lucky enough to have a good pick in the right years.
  9. Ewing is a perfect example of backing a horse that just isn't good enough.
  10. It's the NFL and it's not even close. The NFL regular season doesn't do as good a job as separating the wheat from the chaff. A huge part of it is getting hot at the right time. Granted, the NFL has done a good job of rendering it moot where superstar players play and giving anyone with competent management a fair shot. But I like that the NBA has a regular season where the cream really rises to the top and then followed by a gauntlet of a postseason.
  11. This may just be me but I actually think the NBA has the best competitive balance. Anyone with a pulse has a chance but only the truly elite win. I like that.
  12. Aren't you a Pacers fan tfarks? 99.8% of the difference between the Bulls and the Pacers in the last 25 years is that the Bulls were lucky enough to get the #3 pick in the 1984 draft and the #1 pick in the 2008 draft while Indiana got stuck with the 11th pick in the 1987 draft, not because Chicago is a bigger/sexier market. The Bulls were extremely non descript in the post Jordan, pre-Rose years and pretty much a basketball backwater before Jordan.
  13. Also, I wouldn't consider KG leaving the TWolves a case of a superstar pushing his way into a bigger market. They gave it more than a fair shot in Minnesota. They just weren't good enough.
  14. Until being in a big market can make you lucky enough to draft the true franchise players that come along every so often, parity won't be that big an issue. There's been fewer teams winning the titles over the years because the NBA champion is almost always one of the top 3-4 or teams in the league even though half the teams make the playoffs.
  15. I think that point is up for debate. The fact that there are teams hemorrhaging money? Yes, until books are opened up, I have a hard time believing 1/3 of NBA teams are losing money. Owning a sports franchise doesn't grant you an inalienable right to profits. Losing money? Run a better organization. Can't run a better organization? Get the [expletive] out. Yeah, but they have an antitrust exemption which gives them an inalienable right to bitch about not being able to turn a profit.
  16. "I have horsed around, showered, touched, but no sexual intent." That's apparently something Sandusky said to Bob Costas. I guess they're airing an interview he did tonight??
  17. Should feast on SD's offensive line. I don't think McNeill will play. Dielman is still out and I think their RT is hurt too.
  18. Williams to IR
  19. Colts are picking Luck and not thinking about it particularly hard.
  20. I thought he was a good hire at the time but they need a ballsy hire. If they want to make another budget hire it has to be some young hot shot looking for a step up.
  21. Penn State should go after Gruden.
  22. Theo's impotent nerd rage is pretty funny.
