I saw this a couple of weeks ago when they were talking about proposed changes to the CBA. The cool thing about the amnesty is that it can be used during any time in this CBA (when accepted), and it only applies to contracts signed before the lockout. So maybe Boozer breaks down 2 years from now, and if he does, we can release him at any point. Assuming there's a season can we use the amnesty after the season is over and still get under the cap to make a run at the 2012 FAs? I don't think losing Boozer would hurt all that much but there isn't much sense is cutting him loose now if there isn't an immediate plan to replace him. I'd love to make a run at Howard. Who else is worth going after in the 2012 class?
