  1. Wandy would draw some interest. Lowrie and Altuve would be their two best trade chips, if they decided to use them.
  2. That'd probably make a good thread. My favorite prospect is Baez, because of the "I'll do WTF I want" thing. The rest of my top 5 though is Torreyes, followed by Candelario, Brett, and Dunston. I thought Torreyes was going to be a top 100 guy when we traded for him, so while that's not happening, I hope and think it's still possible next year. Candelario, because he's got such an excellent approach for his age. Brett, because he seems cocky, in a good way, and we need that. Plus, his fall from grace this season, probably has me pulling harder for him right now. Dunston, just because he seems like a good kid, that's having serious fun right now.
  3. If they give up Gould for Carlos [expletive] Lee, I hope to hell we trade them Dempster.
  4. Rosenthal says talks are about Carlos Lee. Not Lowrie. No way in hell Zach Lee is part of those discussions.
  5. Rosenthal says Dodgers talks involve Carlos Lee, not Jed Lowrie. Seriously doubt Zach Lee is a part of THOSE talks. Honestly, kind of doubt Gould is either.
  6. Dustin Geiger has two fielding errors tonight, but he's offset it, with two throwing errors as well.
  7. Sidenote on Webster: Just looked at his stats for the first time in a month and they sent him to the pen. Put him back in the rotation, and in 5 starts has 28ip, 17h, 5r, 5er, 8w, and 21k. So maybe he's corrected something. If so, he's a very nice headliner in a Dempster trade.
  8. How big is Torreyes, and how big is he expected to get? What position do most see him ending up at (I know he's only 19 and it's still a guessing game at this point)? Torreyes is a little guy, 5-9 at the most. He's a 2B now and a 2B he will stay. And supposedly weighs 140.
  9. If they do that, I'd be hoping like hell for Eovaldi somehow. Webster, Sanchez, and Tolleson seems like a fair value for us. But Webster has really struggled bigtime this year. I'd roll the dice and deal for Rubby, even if he is coming off TJS. Seriously doubt they'd do it though.
  10. Baez tripled in his 3rd plate appearance.
  11. Actually, he didn't make it. Probably was in my 35-45 range. I'm hoping the bat is real. The defense evidently CAN come along though, so that's a positive. He's been around a while, it seems, so I probably should have had him in my top 30, from last year, just based on holding his own in the MWL as a 19 year old.
  12. He also is taking a hiatus from Twitter, as of yesterday.
  13. Torreyes is 19 all season long, playing High A ball. That's impressive, in it's own right and his K rate shows he's been extremely unlucky, until recently. He's showing surprising pop too, especially for the FSL. Right now, Alcantara and him are 9 and 10, on my top 30, in some order, with Baez, Soler, Almora, Brett, Candelario, Szczur, Vitters, and Lake as the top 8. In close to that order probably.
  14. I can't believe he still had a .237 BABIP going into tonight. He's going to be really underrated on the upcoming lists. Make it 3-3, after a HR!
  15. Torreyes is 2-2 with a double.
  16. Paulino 4ip 12h 7r 5er 0w 4k. Hopefully he gets back to dominating next outing. This is the DSL1 Paulino, to clarify, not Amaury.
  17. Quite a bit has changed since those rankings though. Barnes/Bradley would be very comparable to 36 and 47. I hate saying Toronto isn't really a fit, but they're not. If we're wanting a close to the majors arm anyway. Also, if we can GET that type of package for Garza, it'd be highway robbery. I'm pretty sure Jimenez was one of the best pitchets in the game when he got dealt AND had 3 or 4 years of control left as well. I'm thinking we can get close though, with all the teams in the races right now.
  18. Garrett Gould and Shawn Tolleson would be an excellent package, in my mind.
  19. Heyman says the Dodgers want Dempster and are the favorites to get him.
  20. Puig signing is official already, hard to believe that got completely done before we've got Soler finished up. We only have until Monday, there better not be any snags.
  21. McNeill signed for 425000, tad under slot of 471900.
  22. yeah, that would have been horrible It certainly wouldn't have helped sell the product. Zambrano's a marginal player at this point, just like Reed Johnson. No sense in putting up with distractions if you don't have to. Distractions from what? Zambrano giving teammates black guys.
  23. They sent Paulino down. I'll be very surprised if both Martin and Dunston aren't in the everyday lineup. As far as CF goes, I guess they split time.
  24. If that's the case, he'll have 4 starts max, to show he's healthy.
  25. Carlos Rodriguez(120k) and Christian Pieters(350k) lefties in the DSL both had excellent games. Rodriguez went 5, 5hits, 1 run(earned) 1 walk, 8 k's. Pieters also went 5, no hits, 2 walks, and 3 k's. Between these two and Paulino, we have some interesting arms to follow down there.
