  1. Trey Martin has 5 steals tonight.
  2. Taijuan Walker is 94-96 in the 7th inning in his first start back.
  3. Don't know. But he didn't finish the game yesterday.
  4. Almora HR, 3-5 today. Villanueva 2-2, 2 2B so far.
  5. I'm really starting to think Lebron is going back to Cleveland. Orlando is offering Afflalo, 4, and 12 for the top pick supposedly and Philly is offering Young, 3, and 10. That gives Lebron quite a bit to work with there, in my mind.
  6. The only reason to have The Decision 2.0 is if Lebron fucked Delonte's mom.
  7. I think I saw a quote yesterday from someone within their org saying they're excited about the youngsters and won't be dealing them for help now.
  8. Shrug. That's what a lot of seniors get. I thought 10K was more along the lines of the minimum for some reason.
  9. Ryan Williams signed for a grand evidently. Poor bastard, hope someone buys him food.
  10. Yeah, he's more of a recap site, unless Sharma puts something out. The apologist thing? Believe it or not, I'd go nuts if I didn't have this place to counter my points on. 100% of the "this is the only way" would even get old to me. I know what I think, but in no way do I know I'm right about it. And looking down on the opposing view doesn't make sense to me. If anything(and my guess is Brett reads all this eventually) I wish there was a counterpoint addition to his site. Where someone actively(intelligently) wrote the opposite. And yes, there's quite a few people here that do a great job at it.
  11. That makes sense. And anything that goes on shows up here within seconds anyway. If guys never go anywhere other than here, I understand that completely. As far as the blogs go, I think Brett is a one-stop, see everything going on type. He also has Sharma write for him some, which is good, I think he's the single best Cubs writer out there. I don't follow his minor league guy at all, but that's just me. I may be one of the few, but I like Arguello's minor league stuff a lot. The rest is iffy, at best, but his minor league stuff is very solid. The CCO has its uses too. They're the only blog out there that basically posts full transcripts anytime a Cubs official is on the air. Granted, our guys are the masters at saying nothing, but I read it all anyway. I'll have to give Obstructed View a shot, have not really looked at their stuff unless it was linked into my Twitter timeline.
  12. Part of me is worried no one meets our prices after seeing how the Feldman deal worked out and hearing Daniels basically say he regrets the Garza deal. All it takes is one, but we need to follow the same path as last year, in trading a guy early and I'm worried we won't be able to do that. Add in the fact that hitting is at more of a premium now and I can see the prospects we covet getting dealt for bats. Leaving us in a position where we're competing against Tampa and maybe a few other teams as well with not enough buyers to generate a big time package coming back.
  13. I was around Brett on a different message board dating back to when he was in law school. He was one of the most knowledgable posters on that site and he certainly caters to the masses now. As would just about anyone, when you're trying to make money. He knows more than he writes, I'll positively vouch for that. Honestly, who the hell do you guys read? Is there a single person that doesn't suck ass? Everyone has little things that can get annoying-I get that. But it honestly seems like some of you hate everything.
  14. Kobe's contract is messing them up.
  15. That's more what I expect, but I'll be disappointed by that, rightly or wrongly. And I seriously doubt that team is ever going to be the odds on favorite to win the east, once rosters are figured out.
  16. Surely Norris has bypassed Sanchez at this point. Has he passed up Stroman too? I can see that too. Not sure I like him enough to be the headliner of a Shark deal though. The good news is that the deals that get talked about the most aren't the ones that get done anyway.
  17. glorious Good. Hope it [expletive] stops. Even if its fake, I applaud Loxas for the idea.
  18. Pretty sure it was originally a Parks thing. Jon Greenberg just called it creepy, by the way.
  19. I'll say Rizzo for the simple fact that he has proven it at this point, but Bryant has higher upside IMO. Not a slight meant towards Rizzo at all, but I fully expect KB to out slug him as soon as he arrives. Rizzo may have to wait until 2016 before Javy bypasses him too.
  20. Thanks wiki. So he didn't play in 2013. He's old and has had injury issues. This guy can't be any good anymore, can he? The epitomy of taking a football flyer. If he helps Vereen in any way, it's worth it, in my mind. I'll be shocked if he makes the team though.
  21. Jacque Jones' 50 hop throws coming from RF will always hold a special irrational hatred from me.
  22. The Golden State offer supposedly was never on the table, according to some reports.
