  1. Damn. I've been programmed to believe its not possible Kyle could compliment the FO.
  2. Not understanding. You think we're about to overpay for pitching, via trade?
  3. Schwarber is likely wearing down. 61 games played was his high, he's at 107 counting tonight.
  4. Hmmmmmmmm Hoping to give up someone lesser. While I agree, he's worth much more. Do you mean Turner is? Oh yeah.

  6. Dunston was just pulled from the KC game....
  7. If we had dealt Vogelbach and Villanueva or Candelario for Turner prior to the deadline, I'd have liked it a lot.
  8. Eh, some quotes from Theo in there stating they're going after impact pitching. It's Wittenmyer, but a relavent article. I think I could see them getting Rusney Castillo and using Alcantara as a piece to help acquire pitching. That said, I'd say our odds are better than 50/50 that one of Straily/Doubront/Turner puts up a 2 WAR season for us next year. It's certainly not their M.O to rush into things, I think Raw has it right:One big addition next year and a solid short term type. With another bigtime guy the first chance one makes sense.

  10. Looks like Aiken may be headed to Yavapai JC in Arizona.
  11. That's where I am. Am I stupid for thinking if he were a prospect, he'd be in our top 10? Other than having already burned up some pre-FA years, why isn't he better than, say, Pierce Johnson? He has definitely been rushed developmentally. I'd definitely have him in the top 10, if he were still a prospect. I still think he's a good bet to wind up a longterm 3/4 guy.
  12. They can still pull him back if they want to.
  13. If we get Turner, we're 7 deep geading into next season with Arrieta/Wood/Jackson/Hendricks/Wada/Straily/Turner. Before FA.
  14. This place is going to go nuts if it comes out we put a claim in on Hamels.
  15. We successfully received our orange crop reports early.
  16. TV ratings in the M25-52 demo were up 101.9% last night.

  18. Nate and Villanueva will get DFA'd or dealt first. My guess is Brett and Vitters survive until the offseason unless we both sign Rusney and bring Rivero up.
  19. Happy people in a gam thread. Weird. [expletive] yeah JAVY!!!!!!
  20. No one on the 60 man will be around most likely, unless Fujikawa feels like giving us a break next year. We lose Villanueva and Schierholtz to FA. Maybe Baker? At any rate, Kalish, Vitters, Brett, Szczur, Valaika, Rusin, and Watkins are all droppable.
  21. I think it's a no-brainer, but what do we do to accommodate it? Turner has no options left, so he comes up immediately. No problem. But do you hide him in the pen and possibly [expletive] with him even more or do you put him in the rotation? Seems like taking Edwin's spot in the rotation is the easiest option, but you've got Straily waiting to be put in and you've got Doubront now too. Who just got pissy when he was put in the pen. So, what do you do?
