  1. I want Robinson in AAA right now. Hell, I'd give him the ML start this weekend, even though I guess Mills gets it. Marquez and Abbott are the 2 guys I'm most interested in, from the lower levels.
  2. Not that either is a great comp, but if I'm comparing WCJ to a former Duke/Bulls guy, I'd say he's closer to Brand, than Boozer. That said, neither are great comps. But, Carter can become an excellent player in the NBA.
  3. Damn, that pipeline busted. At least for now. I REALLY wish we knew what happened with Serrano now.
  4. The fact they're doing a press conference NOW, instead of trying to add a 2nd rounder, when plenty of solid players are still out there, pisses me off to no end.
  5. Hutchison at 22, as expected. Carter and Hutchison ain't exciting, but it's not bad at all. Can't believe Robert Williams is still out there. Would love to see the Bulls surprise us and trade back into the 30-40 range.
  6. I've seen a report today that said Porter taking the entire 2018-2019 season off would be the most beneficial thing for him to do.
  7. Eww. Guess be happy we at least didn't do that.
  8. Carter is a great FIT for the Bulls. He'll go well with Lauri. Still...... Do something fun. Trade down. Or trade up from 22. Just do something fun dammit.
  9. Carter, it is..... I like him. But, I'm underwhelmed, all the same, now that he's ours.
  10. Oh well, Orlando is taking Bamba. If the Clippers would deal 12 and 13 for 7, I'd do it at this point.
  11. I doubt it. Orlando can't take Trae. I think they take him. Hope not though.
  12. And now..... They're right.
  13. That definitely made the rumor rounds up until an hour or so ago. Westlund says Bulls trying to trade up to 3......
  14. Interesting... wonder who they like in the back half of the lottery? And could this mean the long rumored Chandler Hutchinson promise is bunk (I have to imagine getting back in the lotto requires 22). Yeah, I'd figure 22 is part of any deal. Personally, I don't see Philly being the team we'd trade with. Frankly, it doesn't make sense for them to move down(or out). They've got multiple 1sts already and an excellent young team. If anything, they need to move up. Denver or one of the Clippers picks, seems more feasible to me. And at 12,13,or 14, you're definitely getting a guy a tier or 2 higher than Hutchison, who I'm fine with, if we do stay at 22. Big guy early, wing later. Or wing early, big guy later.
  15. Holy horsefeathers lol. That's at least double what the top pitchers are getting.
  16. Chicago has also been active in lottery trade talks and could move up from no. 7, as mentioned above. Multiple sources have said that the Bulls could be looking to add a second lottery pick, too. The Sixers’ no. 10 selection was floated as a possibility. From Kevin O'Connor's article just now.
  17. "One of the players who showed off some of the loudest tools of the day was impressive center fielder Ezequiel Pagan (2018, Guayanilla, Puerto Rico) for TSD Black. Pagan has a lean, high-waisted frame with long limbs and projection remaining throughout. Despite the lankiness of the frame he has present strength and that allows him to pull the barrel of the bat through the zone with impressive bat speed. The facet of Pagan's offensive approach that immediately stood out was his confidence in his ability. He was very relaxed and comfortable at the plate showing even a little bit of swagger as well. The barrel stays in the hitting zone for a long time and he has very quick hands with an inside path to the baseball. Pagan showed an awareness of the strike zone and showed the ability to control the barrel of the bat and to hit the ball hard to all fields. He launched a triple deep down the opposite field line and showed off his good speed as well. He was timed at 4.12 seconds to first base from the left side and has run a 6.6 60-yard dash at Perfect Game showcases in the past. The speed was evident on the base paths where he also showed good base running instincts. Pagan made long strides in the outfield and garnered good reads off fly balls. Pagan has very loud tools and they showed during his two games played on Friday." "Ezequiel Pagan is a 2018 OF/3B with a 6-1 163 lb. frame from Guayanilla, PR who attends Pro Baseball High School Academy. Long and slender athletic build, not strong yet but has lots of physical projection, young Denard Span build. 6.63 runner, moves very easily in the outfield and on the bases, will have plus range in centerfield, has good arm strength with a long and loose arm action, very good defensive tools overall that will keep improving with repetitions and fundamentals. Left handed hitter, simple lower half shift into contact, big barrel wrap creates some length but can create whip when he gets extended, still learning to adjust to inside velocity and get his hands it, has hitting tools that project. Good student, signed with Broward CC." Craig, Wes just sent me this on him.
  18. Same 3 names we’ve heard (Venezuelan RHP Richard Gallardo, Dominican CF José Lopez and Venezuelan LHP Joel Machado) plus Dominican SS Rafael Morel (Christopher’s brother). Lopez will get the highest bonus at $1.5 million even though Gallardo is considered a better prospect. Morel should get a similar bonus to his older brother ($800k). The Reds are another team looking to trade their pool space since they’re in the penalty. 800k is a solid bonus, didn't realize he's Chris' brother. Pretty cool. Was hoping to see a few Mexican signings, to stretch our cash. Still, that's 3.6, not counting Machado. So, our cash is pretty well spent on those 4, plus some cheap guys to round out a class. Trading with the Reds would be fun, but I doubt they'd participate in getting us a guy who could haunt them. Thanks a bunch, Navin.
  19. Navn, what does BA say about our class?
  20. My dream scenario tomorrow, no shot at it happening..... 7) Bamba Trade 22 and Valentine for 14 and Faried. 14) Have Knox or Miles Bridges sitting there to take. Trade future 2nd or even 2 of them to move back into 30-40 range Draft Bruce Brown, Khyri Thomas, or preferrably Jakob Evans with the pick.
  21. Reading a bunch of pre draft gossip saying MPJ and Trae are dropping, with Carter and Gilgeous-Alexander moving up. Bamba reiterated today he's got tons of interest in us. This is going to be fun. From 2 on, this is an absolute crapshoot.
  22. Complete dream scenario, trade Portis, 22, next year's top 1 protected 1st for Parsons and 4. Draft Bamba at 4, MPJ at 7.
  23. The issue is this: Bamba, who I love, or Porter, who I'd be perfectly happy with, could be there at 7. In fact, I figure one of them will be. So, do you trade up anyway? I don't think so. Taking on 2 years of Chandler Parsons at 25 mill each season? No. Just no. Especially not if you ALSO are sending Portis. And the thing is, that's probably very close to what it would take. I love Bamba. I would trade up for him, IF we took on Parsons, but got to keep Portis, AND got pick 32 from them. That's how bad Parsons deal is. So, since that's not happening, I'm happy sitting at 7 and seeing Porter, or worse case, Wendell Carter, falling to me. That said, Bamba fits perfectly with Lauri.
  24. Damn, those arms.....
