    He's been hitting 97 pretty consistently all year long. Really...? Be interested in seeing what his average fastball velocity on the season is....I haven't seen every game TBH....but I don't recall him hitting that anytime I did see him.....wouldn't be the 1st time I was wrong though that's for sure.

    yeah and if that guy they picked up medina gets his command going in AAA the pen will be much stronger in a month or 2 with Ramirez coming back too If we have 2 starters Maddon has no confidence in the ability to or can't go more than 5 or 6 innings max....they don't have the luxury of waiting a month or 2 IMO....I have personally have ZERO long term confidence in anyone in the pen not named Rondon or Grimm. Did you have faith in Strop last year? Because his numbers are nearly identical except for ERA. FIP is a bit higher, WHIP is lower but H/9, BB/9, HR/9 and K/9 are almost identical. In high leverage late inning situations as a set up/emergency closer type....no....average to slightly above as a middle reliever....yes

    Our fielders should think about fielding every now and then. No doubt....that ball was in the air PLENTY long enough for a RF with any kind of range to get to. He doesn't go back on a ball well.....doesn't come in on one well....and if it bounces off a wall....forgetaboutit.

    Like the first and second innings? So he hasn't had a clean inning since the second....and came in with a 1.34 whip.....i'd say his post stands overall....especially when talking about someone banking 20 Mill a year IMO That said....can Gerrit Cole ever have a clean inning...? :D
