    he has two years beyond this year and would be really nice to have. i rescind your pass. he had a vesting option for 2020 which was based on finishing high in the cy race which he had waived in order to approve the trade. Ah I didn’t realize that 2020 was a Cy option. That does make the contract more attractive.

    We lost to the better team in this series, flat out. Last three pennants have been celebrated at Wrigley Field. The NL title has to go through the North Side — the new normal. Hard to complain about that!

    Barring an epic comeback, not sure how I'll be able to deal with the eternal shame of 3 straight NLCS berths and only 1 title to show for it. More bummed about not being able to watch these guys for 6 mos.
