  1. I'm going to steal this post from PSD, but I thought it was pretty solid: Obviously you hope he can get the K's down as he adjusts and all, but it seemed like a decent comparison.
  2. This has got to be some sort of record. He could easily have like 6 homers right now.
  3. While in AA before he can legally drink. Make that .887.
  4. Oh come the [expletive] on. At least:
  5. http://losangeles.dodgers.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20130723&content_id=54440330&c_id=la&tcid=tw_article_54440330 Hmmm...
  6. Video of KB double: Moves really well for a big guy.
  7. Bryant RBI double to center. First hit.
  8. Bryant sac fly to left in his first AB.
  9. Marlin: That was in response to this post: Last Marlin note: Putting two and two together, it sounds like the Cubs insisted on Odor as the final piece to close out a deal, Texas refused, medicals on everyone else involved was exchanged, the Cubs found some stuff wrong with their side to partially try and force them to give Odor, the Rangers countered with something they didn't like with Garza's elbow, and everyone just decided to sub in Grimm for Odor to finish it off. Not fully convinced Odor was more than a request right now. Or at least i'll tell myself that to make me feel better.
  10. Looks like Marlin was right once again (re: Garza med's), and though I appreciate hearing it, most of ABTY' stuff seems wrong.
  11. noooo edit: I guess Ramirez is still really good for PTBNL status.
  12. I'm really thinking/hoping the Odor rumor is true. Remember this tweet (Rangers reporter) from during the madness: Kind of starts to make sense if Ramirez and Odor are the PTBNL and he didn't know at the time.
  13. I'd take Odor over all of them, personally. Also, dependent on health and playoffs is soooo much better. Same here.
  14. ABTY says he's hearing Sardinas, Odor, and I would infer Ramirez could all be on the PTBNL list. Which is kind of what I was almost thinking. They said the earlier confirmed deal that fell apart included Sardinas, the Cubs might have just wanted to gather more information (including) health before making a decision. PTBNL I think is not dependant on WS anymore, but on Garza's health and Rangers making playoffs. As far as Olt, I still view him as a worst case strong defensive platoon 3b. He's still almost OPSing 1.000 against them in his awful year this year.
  15. Wittenmyer says the PTBNL pool includes Neil Ramirez. I wonder if the Odor / Ramirez rumor was them being on the PTBNL list if the Rangers extend/win WS.
  16. Texas writer guy said name to keep an eye on is Joe Ortiz. Very undersized, reliever, only 22. Good minor league #'s, OK major league numbers at first glance.
  17. Guessing one of Odor or Alfaro added. Still don't know what I think on Alfaro.
  18. I'd like Leonardo Molina as well if we're going to take the sign everyone approach.. Encarnacion too. August 1st and 9th on those two I believe.
  19. Popped out to second his 1st AB, trade him for Olt while we still can.
