Highly doubt it. Don't see any reason why the Rangers would trade away one of the best major league relief pitchers/closers for a good minor league reliever. Just doesn't make sense. -

Not saying i'm for or against it but what would be people's reactions to a EPatt for Gagne trade? We do have MIF'ers that will be around for awhile so EPatt seems expendable if needed, but would you do it for just a bullpen arm (albeit an arm pitching great this year)? And by the way, what's Gagne's contract look like (years left wise)? -
A bit of surprising feedback from the A's board: I agree, It does seem like Kendall called a good game, and I hope that Haren and Gaudin don't start to pitch poorly. There was obviously a couple "Glad he's gone, he sucked" ones too, but surprisingly mostly everyone didn't like it. And people kept saying they disagreed with a guy who put down Kendall's D.

My sum up and personal opinion of the thread and trade: People aren't trying to argue how good of a trade this is, they're just trying to say it isn't bad. If that makes sense...

No idea on that Ken Rosenthal report. It was right after our game where Gene Zolasco (SP) said she talked to Ken that morning and he had some news on Zambrano that "i'm sure he'll write about soon", or something along those lines. Nice to here Sut saying we can spend.

And is Jack Wilson out or something? Admittedly I don't know how Jack is doing this year, but is there that much of a difference between him and Cesar unless they plan to move someone (trade or position wise)?

It would seriously be crazy sweet, but I doubt Jimbo even considers it. Sammy's numbers aren't great but he's still going to end up with around 30 HR's and alot of RBI's. -

No idea. It was only a one liner after Fox promoted Rosenthal's online video thing she said (paraphrasing): "I had the chance to talk with Ken this morning and he had some news on Carlos Zambrano, which i'm sure he will tell about soon".

The girl on Fox said she talked to Rosenthal this morning and that he had news on Zambrano (didn't say good or bad) that he should be sharing pretty soon. Stay tuned...
