  1. Wow, totally forgot about that as well. I have a feeling we're going to have to wait until the final hour when Moustakas, most likely, decides not to sign.
  2. Damn...ladies and gentlemen that's what throwing fast, even if you're not that good, does for you.
  3. Why doesn't the Cards/Crewgame show up on ESPN gametracker?
  4. You think the Cubs would take a hint when the picture on the homepage is of Soto with the caption: "Why isn't he up yet?"
  5. another 2-RBI double... now he's at 2 AB, 1 R, 2 H, 5 RBI, 1 BB, 1 sac fly on the night hmmm, is this box wrong? http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=milb&t=g_box&gid=2007_08_12_iowaaa_orhaaa_1 I'm pretty sure it is because I swear I saw it say 3 RBI while the game was still in action.
  6. BB for Soto, 3 RBI's on the night on the double and sac fly as truffle mentioned.
  7. Please don't kill me for my lack of waiver knowledge (since this ws probably answered somewhere), but if he cleared waivers, then that means no one claimed him right? If no one bothered to claim him, doesn't that mean no one is really interested?
  8. I used to not have much faith in those guys (major league wise), but after seeing older guys like Theriot and Fontenot contribute, it gives me a little excitement.
  9. DLee should probably just stick to hitting.
  10. If Colonitis or whatever it's called is what I think it is, someone should change the title to "Angel Pagan's Rectal Errors".
  11. You know he's been playing some outfield (and I remember an article about 2+ months back about him spending time after games practicing center and left) and by all accounts has played good there, so it's not like he's a outfield virgin.
  12. 1. R Theriot, SS .280 3 31 19 2. R Cedeno, 2B .143 2 6 1 3. D Lee, 1B .326 12 58 5 4. A Ramirez, 3B .317 16 69 0 5. M Murton, LF .254 1 10 1 6. M DeRosa, RF .286 7 54 0 7. A Pagan, CF .273 4 21 4 8. J Kendall, C .267 0 4 0 9. R Hill, P .128 0 3 0
  13. Just heard it but can't remember everything. No Epatt. Cedeno in the 2 spot. Murton in the 5 spot. Pagan and Kendall in there too.
  14. I'm not a genious at the whole waiver process, but on BBTN (well the morning edition like 15 minutes ago), they ended with Olney or Stark or someone saying Piazza has cleared waivers and can be traded and Miguel Tejada either has not or has not yet. Can anyone clarify on Tejada because I didn't catch his exact words, hopefully he meant not yet and he's still in the process but who knows.
  15. Levine on 1000 said the Cubs stood pat but will push hard to acquire Church through waivers.
  16. I don't understand why everyone is so interested in a guy that's hitting .235...and based on the Red Sox offer, we probably have to give up way more than he's worth. Over 1.000 OPS since the break and in hope of him returning to the MVP calibur player he was last season.
  17. Imagine if we could get Church (minor leaguer) and Dye (maybe Jones+good prospect--Gallagherish) Soriano Theriot Lee Aram Dye Church Derosa Kendall Mhhmmmmmmmm....offense. Obviously wouldn't happen though.
  18. Good enough to play CF. So's Jacques Jones' in theory....but he certainly isn't a very good defender. ...not sure about Church. Jacque isn't that bad in center at all outside of that boot the other day... He's not going to win any gold gloves but he's certainly adept to play there without it being considered a major defensive weakness.
  19. Good enough for me if no big moves can be made. I understand we have restraints so adding a guy who's proven he can have around a .900 OPS and is still fairly young (well moreso "not old" than young) for minor leaguers is a good move in my books.
  20. Unless i'm reading this wrong, Church is 8th in the MLB in doubles
  21. If there's no big moves this would be the kind of small move that i'd like. A-ball prospect sounds a little too good to be true, but hopefully it is.
  22. Quick question, who does Texas have in the way of top prospects? Wasn't there some (albeit probably not true) rumor of Pie for Laird plus prospects. Those prospects better be good so im wondering what young arms and bats they have in the system...I can't really think of any off the top of my head.
