    More of the "they haven't won since 1908, how they they show confidence in ANYTHING?!?!" Like we are supposed to sit here in silence and continually dread over Mordecai Brown choking in some early 1900's World Series game or some [expletive] when none of us were remotely close to being born. Or like the current team has even a single player left over from any relevant team in our lifetime; like we are supposed to judge random dudes over history exactly the same because they wear a piece of cloth with the same colors. Hate that garbage /rant.

    His complete lack of emotion for the final out was weird as hell, but just to prove he isn't a completely emotionless zombie, I did also see him scream his lungs out at the homeplate ump for a bad call.

    I think I almost like not having homefield more. Try to take 1 or 2 there, then 3 straight at Wrigley? I know it gets a bit more important if the series goes deep, but I'll take it. It will be low 50's in NY which will suck, but the Chicago forecast looks pretty great.

    Out of curiosity, can we get the link to the TBS site showing the times? The only thing I can find with a schedule doesn't even show the game 7 time tonight, let alone anything for the next series.

    I'm sure you know he follows back a bajillion people, but I thought it was hilarious when this college girl with a tiny Cubs blog almost started crying when she found out he followed her and started profusely thanking all of her followers because something like that wouldn't be possible without all their help.

    If the Cubs lost that game, fans would put him through hell again. Include him in the celebration, not pregame.

    I just got mine like an hour ago.

    And DeGrom has a 6.1 ERA in 10 innings against the Cubs this year. Thor 5.06 ERA against us in his 1 start. Harvey was good against us, but he's looked hittable lately and he's not someone I would freak out over at this point.

    The fact that Javy's HR came on the very next pitch after Lackey threw a hissy fit about the single to Hammel made it that much more enjoyable.

    Without looking it up I feel like we crushed DeGrom one game this year and knocked out Thor really early in one of his first starts. Combine that with Harvey looking pretty hittable his last start...

    A win today means Lester-Arrieta can go in game 1-2, whereas a loss probably means Hendricks game 1. Either way, dongers gonna dong.

    Anybody else notice Arrieta's brown spot on the brim of the hat that he goes to after every pitch was gone? He still went to the hat but he started licking his hand way more than I ever remember. I can't remember if it was there in Pittsburgh. I wonder if the Cards (preemptively) complained even though like 75% of the pitchers I see use it, including a few in the playoffs.

    So basically what MLB said is that Utley never got the chance to try and retouch 2nd because of the call on the field. Which is true, but stupidly assumes that Tejada wouldn't have just tagged him out if the ump said he missed the base.
