    Yes, his 2.11 ERA and 2.37 FIP over the last two seasons indicate that he isn't suited to close. this is in the mythical dreamworld some fans envision where Kyle Hendricks is our 5th starter, even when he's evenly paced Felix Hernandez for FI value for the past year and we have 2004 Eric Gagne to push Rondon down in the closer pecking order

    i think it's just that Maddon/advanced scouting identified lefties as a problem area for some of those starters we've faced and stacked all the LH hitters atop the order to exploit that also, THE BOOK suggests the 4th-best hitter bats 3rd, though that's pretty old research
