    i mostly just like prospects because i've paid attention to baseball enough to notice the Cardinals have lost a #1 SP, their best hitter and like six other important players due to injury and had actual good players available to fill in i've also noticed the times where the Cubs had to resort to castoff [expletive] stains like Mike Baxter, Dallas Beeler, Yoervis Medina or whoever anytime somebody goes down

    oh, well, if even the prospects who become MVPs are/were terrible prospects, then i agree with your stance that we never actually traded anybody worth a damn before

    I know, right? Hendry would have got Joe Blanton and Johnny Gomes and only given up 3 of our top 10 prospects. I still curse Brendan Harris and Ray Sadler's names. you make a good point, Hendry really never traded any good prospects at the trade deadline changing subjects, who do you guys think will win AL MVP this year

    with the way this FO covets hitters who don't expand the strike zone, no question in my mind that Fowler is the one they'll prioritize re-signing

    i don't even mind Tommy La Stella like others do, but seeing desperation moves like this make me really wish we could have held onto Arodys Vizcaino somehow

    for the Cubs he was basically an injury-prone Starlin Castro, then he bounced around as the cagey vet serving in mostly a bench role for various teams for the next decade i don't see the big deal with it
