    you skate in a crouch and trying to fit through small space at the boards like that stood straight up it'd look that way all the same maybe intent was there, but seems he's sort of caught in-between without really anywhere to go and Henrik's sloppy as hell with how he played it

    i don't blame Eakin too much there, it looks worse in real time than replays; you see him trying to squeak by sideways but there's no lane goalies shouldn't be dawdling with the puck for 6+ seconds like that expecting the forecheck to idly wait for the breakout, make them live and you get rid of this somewhat, as well as Mike Smith types trolling for majors replay @ 23s exonerates him somewhat imo

    Some combination of him and Andy Reid are pretty underrated, I think. Since Reid came to KC only the Patriots, Broncos, and Seahawks have more wins. 20-3 run they're currently on, pretty unbelievable

    Got it. Well this scenario of not having Javy isn't that big of a deal to me over whoever the back up SS would be because Javy would be mostly a glove only backup, IMO, if he has to expand to a starting role for a ~month with not having the luxury of being protected vs RHP and facing favorable pitching matchups. You mean a month like October where he played like a cheat code for three weeks? (world series not included)

    i'm of course skeptical he'll just carry through +15 fielding / .340 babip / 24% K going forward people probably don't fully appreciate his platoon limitations either

    seems like a worthwhile endeavor with better predictive value than cruder, better understood methods, but with how it factors framing, umpires, i partially wonder if theres's the element more of "what an era might look like if everyone was forced to throw pitches in the heart of the strike zone", which then seems to rate stuff and not pitching effectiveness or value all told, it's amazing to consider how a stat could make a full 3.3 runs allowed/9(!) correction on Kyle Hendricks vs. Robbie Ray specifically; maybe exit velo gets incorporated in alternate corrective iterations
