  1. Martinez was heading to the dugout! on that pitch it was so unquestionably a strike
  2. hey, remember when Theo signed Carlos Martinez but MLB voided it
  3. we could give it a try
  4. he was a 2nd rounder in my league
  5. i like going to his fg page to see that hitting .270/.314/.484 is somehow less productive adjusted to league avg than his empty average 2015 cameo: .289/.325/.408 hashtag juiced balls
  6. The Committee on Infractions (allegedly an independent entity that is separate from the NCAA) has got to be uncomfortable with all of this. Are they going to dismantle an entire football program, deprive a public institution of up to 18 million dollars in revenue, and affect the livelihoods of multiple individuals simply because of the inconsistent and totally uncorroborated immunity testimony of one player from a rival school? That's a terrifying precedent to set. You can be sure that schools like Ohio State, Michigan, Bama, and Auburn absolutely do not want that to become a thing. Michigan has zero composite top-100 recruits in their current class and OSU has 11 broader oversight and harsher penalties is something i suspect they'd welcome
  7. when he stands it looks strange like it's somehow reversed
  8. hell i even like him now an odd season with the bat so far; he's 2nd worst in team WPA, narrowly "trailing" ZobWrist but he's actually been fantastic with men on base: .889 OPS and whiffing just 21% frequency he totally falls apart in high leverage spots, which might mostly explain it, but just 29 PA so whatever
  9. i'd have gone with "Contrerian Viewpoints"
  10. career, as C: 134 G, 507 PA, 29 HR, 90 RBI, .292/.356/.542, 5.2 fWAR
  11. he didn't exactly deserve a decade of abuse
  12. Fowler's inclusion is a bit of an odd one; could they not insist on a guy without #neehurding
  13. Lots of gems over at BF.net today, but this one takes the cake for me. other than Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley, Xander Bogaerts, Dustin Pedroia, Travis Shaw, Andrew Miller, Manny Margot, Christian Vazquez, Matt Barnes, Jose Iglesias it's hard to think of any impactful players he left Boston with at the end there who are currently making any type of impact or more succinctly, their best player was drafted and developed by Theo, lol
  14. He has. how can you know that, unless, he was noticed
  15. i tell anyone who'll listen Schwarber has a 60 grade hit tool so i don't think strikeouts will be a long-term issue
  16. Just under a 20% K rate in that stretch too. Even when the BABIP comes down, if he can hit for pop like that with a shaved down K rate then he's gonna be really good. career, as C: 121G, 405 AB (449 PA), 52 R, 22 HR, 71 RBI, .289/.350/.516, 4.5 fWAR
  17. his start yesterday (83) was 2nd-best game score on the season for the team, behind Lester's CG against the Giants (85) in May
  18. feels like this is also driven by acceptance that Heyward is here forever and Eloy won't really have a clear opening (if they believe so strongly in Schwarber like writers suggest)
  19. i don't know nothing, but i thought Lichag really impressed (one bad touch aside)
  20. google 'us president'
