  1. already been picked
  2. Sandberg's a career .285 hitter, of course he'd make a good hitting instructor
  3. Avril and Hunter are serviceable for the end spot opposite Vanden Bosch, but this pick still presents an opportunity for a clear upgrade. Best was also considered (and is the direction i think they'll go in the draft) 2-2) Everson Griffen, DE, USC
  4. keep him down until at least June and get an extra year of cheap Castro
  5. that Thomas Jones signing is stupid they already have one of the best backs in football and Battle & Castille probably would have been fine with short yardage
  6. the one thing that really sticks out to me is Cap Anson being so low
  7. that'll definitely be priority #1 in the summer
  8. it's really ironic, because seemingly everybody's reaction to the hit is Richards/Booth (truffle's moral equivocating is sure to follow, i know)
  9. PFF seems to think his run blocking, once elite, has slipped and that his pass blocking was never very good but last year could just be an anomaly; his previous two seasons were great in run blocking
  10. Lions on the verge of acquiring Chris Houston for a 6th and swap of 5ths man, if they could have gotten Kerry Rhodes for the same deal Arizona got, i'd be positively giddy disposing of all day 3 picks for three decent-to-good defensive starters (of which we had very few last year [two])
  11. pujols upton hanson sandoval haren
  12. [expletive]
  13. i think Schwartz was in his driveway holding up a boombox, blaring "In Your Eyes" Apparently he was sitting out in front of KVB's gate at 11:01 CT calling for him. The good thing for Detroit is, if anybody knows how much Vanden Bosch has left, it's Schwartz. eh, i don't get excited about that. not to say i'm comparing the two but it's just as likely he has an irrational affection for KVB like Marinelli did for all his washed-up former TB players
  14. i think Schwartz was in his driveway holding up a boombox, blaring "In Your Eyes"
  15. Lions sign Burleson 5/25m and trade their 2nd 5th-rounder to the Browns for DT Corey Williams i'm especially pleased about the latter move
  16. no Rolle http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/03/05/bears-drop-out-of-race-for-rolle/
  17. the Rangers were outshot 23-1 in the 3rd period & OT tonight (55 to 16 overall) that won't get it done
  18. i'll admit i like his offensive upside (i mostly felt the same about O'Sullivan too and he's been a colossal disappointment) but the Lightning should be a really good situation for him, if he can land on VLC's wing
  19. the Lions take McCoy here for all the obvious reasons
  20. some pretty big trades today Washington loaded up. i like the Avs selling high on Wolski and buying low on Mueller. the Kings seemed to give up on Purcell way too early.
  21. Lee @ 63 is pretty unexpected
  22. Like he did in Detroit. Martz is a terrible offensive coordinator, and you'll figure that out pretty fast. Martz was fired by Rod Marinelli; that actually speaks well of him, if you ask me nevertheless, he was let go due to philosophical differences. he differed with Marinelli's archaic dumb ass approach to running an offense
  23. Lions interested in Cromartie, Pacman Jones http://www.prideofdetroit.com/2010/2/28/1330684/rumors-swirl-around-antonio i'm signing off on any CB that displaces William James
  24. well [expletive]
