  1. Cucamonga so you get my 2nd rounder, which should be #25
  2. Shark can realistically be traded for something like, i don't know...Daniel Norris, Alberto Tirado, Moises Sierra? and still not make an impact on near year's team; it's my opinion something like that's the most likely scenario maybe teams will be willing to trade viable MLB-ready pitching, but it doesn't seem to happen all that often Brett & Sharma are getting to be pretty bad about this too
  3. yeah, pretty much this, is the unpleasant realization i came to this offseason; outside of minor-league player development, they're probably more or less replacement-level at this point: no real ambition at all, content to waiting for the prospects you've tanked seasons for to come up and maybe make a huge impact that's still basically the old-school conventional way of going about things; i can easily think of like a dozen other teams who are in some stage of that process right now oh well, i'll have a lot more free time this summer we sure showed the industry! (our Travis Wood, Edwin Jackson, Jake Arrieta, Kyle Hendricks, ??? 2015 rotation)
  4. so... hitting line drives (28%; top-5 in MLB, min. 250 PA) and having the speed to leg out IF hits (24%, best in baseball) and bunting for hits (7/11 att) are all just unpredictable elements of luck now ok, i'll agree with your assessment- if you take away every talent he has, he is kind of shitty
  5. might as well end it right now, only 3 teams look to be at less than 19 (tuna: 17, dealers: 18, hbc: 18) right now and that might as well be sorted out with FA after some of the teams into the 20s start dropping a few of their superfluous players also with the season starting on the 22nd, it'd be good to try blowing through the prospect draft asap
  6. and it's clear as day why that is: north held your hand and gave you an opinion to adopt...he's probably somewhat right about it, but if he had also expended the energy to show why every other option after Lake is even all the more unappealing we'd be spared your repeated pathetic histrionics about it
  7. lol yes, i'd rather see someone who is actually somewhat OK at baseball, because junior lake isn't. and that doesn't necessarily mean ryan kalish. and i'd rather see potential mvp candidates in our OF check and mate
  8. Most of that was built in the 3 week hot stretch when he first came up and his peripherals were awful. So yeah, wanting to see somebody else get a shot until he shows some improved plate discipline isn't unreasonable. well on that note i guess we had also better demote Castro for the rest of his career and his lowest WAR month was actually July, btw
  9. only 1 remaining regular played at a better WAR pace than (the 23 year-old) Lake did last year, but sure if you're desperate to see more of Ryan Kalish for whatever weird reason i guess it makes perfect sense
  10. Kalish, McDonald, Coghlan, maybe Vitters or Wells. http://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Jennifer-Lawrence-ok-thumbs-up.gif
  11. that East region looks like trash; MSU's going to waltz right through it with the utmost of ease
  12. http://cdn2.mocksession.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/LOL-CRAFT.gif even better than the first Aarball
  13. this characterization (for Long) is a little bit over the top the expectation for a 1st round OG should be to play at an average/above-average level
  14. Jay Williams knows all about making the right decisions
  15. he drew up the perfect play to win it, though
  16. Rayvonte Rice, SportsCenter Not Top 10
  17. Came up empty on 34% of his swings. Doesn't matter. He can develop the ability to make more contact and hit for way more power. Yeah, my expectations for Lake aren't high at all given his issues, but I wouldn't consign him to the scrap heap yet, that's for sure. Awkwarddddd... I was totally being sarcastic. so you are saying he can't possibly hit for more power
  18. Came up empty on 34% of his swings. Doesn't matter. He can develop the ability to make more contact and hit for way more power. he can't develop the ability to hit for more power?
