  1. you're not the bad guy, you're just the guy desperately trying to scrape out an undeserved win for yourself on account of some absurd technicality, oblivious to the possibility we might all be perfectly able to use common sense like regular adults in a situation where there aren't even any rules spelled out anywhere (3-start weeks)
  2. Wood was like 3 pitches into his start when i noticed it and pointed it out on here, so there wasn't some tactical advantage i could even be employing; i already had maxed my starts the day prior, averaging 26 points from them but if you're able to dig into the Roadkill Rulebook and locate some obscure clause that'll reverse your earned loss on account of some dumb technicality, then so be it, i guess
  3. as for Hosmer, i'll default to this tweet: Rany Jazayerli ‏@jazayerli Jun 19 Is Eric Hosmer aware that the rules allow the batter to decline to swing at a pitch?
  4. better development, mainly also, MILB career wRC+: Moustakas - 125 Hosmer - 136 Myers - 147 Bryant - 207, lol
  5. in 2014 a SB is worth .2 runs, and a CS is -.38 runs [source] so, 69% seems the likely approximate cut-off for the average team, and probably like 50% for our vomitous offense
  6. Alex Wood wasn't showing as being scheduled to pitch before, so i left him in there i've already used my 3 starts so somebody will need to deduct whatever points he gets
  7. Ryan Sweeney should die of gonorrhea and rot in hell
  8. Jeff Sullivan talks tempered expectations http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/dont-worry-about-a-cubs-crowd-that-doesnt-exist/

  11. Law put Appel 33rd on his list
  12. i think i will root for the Norwich City Futbol Club, since i was in fact born in a city called Norwich or, would that be a mistake?
  13. I don't think you remember that. i vividly remember seeing those arguments at GRB
  14. his career high in WAR (which he'll probably match this year) is 3; i don't have too much of an issue with it, even though personally i'd probably have fit him somewhere toward the beginning of the list
  15. *checks Kevin Encarnacion's KC numbers* [expletive], another summer of this [expletive]?
  16. yeah, Gallo has a 52% contact rate in AA Baez was 65.5%, Bryant 69%
  17. [attachment=0]Capture.jpg[/attachment]
  18. Evan Gattis last year - 39 games in LF & 48 games at C his fielding in LF was pretty dismal, though
  19. early on, weren't reporters on twitter claiming Alcantara was mentioned in the deal, only to clarify later it wasn't actually Arismendy, but Raul
  20. was it McLeod who drafted Spangenberg with the very next pick?
  21. Chris Davis had 7 fWAR last year, now he's half the way through the season as a sub-replacement player
  22. i think we stopped that, though abuck mostly alluded to it and didn't make formal decree so who knows
  23. from July 1: 72% contact rate in July (45% swing rate)
