Greg Lloyd played throughout the 90s. He's not talking about dudes from 40 years ago. he was always a go-to player when building my Sega Madden '96 roster

    i think they'll make a big play for Hamels instead; they've got like 10 MLB-ready arms and nothing to do with half of them except let them blow out their arms and lose all value in AAA

    Lester to Boston rumors seems like agent jockeying to me, more than anything in the spring they offered him 4/70 and he swiftly gave that the Mutombo treatment...what's changed in the ensuing 8 months to cause them to presumably double their offer? it doesn't make much sense

    I have no idea, but I'd love to see if they negatively value Maybin on top of Grandal. Early reports are that they want power hitters so not sure how much of a match is there. maybe they could be fooled into taking Javy?

    Beef had 412 PA and he somehow only scored 15 runs in which he didn't drive himself in to find somebody with fewer, i made it all the way down to Michael McKenry's 14 runs in 183 PA

    i'd obviously be ok with that, but since week 1 our highest offensive output has been 24 points so i'm not considering it a realistic possibility

    Well, case closed then. I have no problem deferring to the likes of the FO's who value this. Especially when they have much better and much more information available to them than we do. Why did Theo and Jed stick with Castillo for three years? recall that last year there was a lot of reported interest between our FO and Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who has never been considered to be a good receiver...it's actually fair to question if Theo & Jed really do put as much of an emphasis on it as some of the other teams have outwardly shown to (PIT, NYY, SD, TB, MIL, HOU) also, to answer your question, Castillo ranks near the top in blocking pitches, so all his dramatic movements behind the plate do have some worth; this gets factored into his WAR on FG, while framing doesn't, so i'm of the opinion that paints too positive a picture of him

    i did keep saying he was getting McCann money btw, FG had 5/90 estimate on Hanley...i'd kinda love to do that and then just make a bunch of weird trades
