it's not a weakness. that's what happens when you're patient like that. you end up getting strike 3 called a lot. I prefer that to waving at stupid crap and getting strike 3. Besides, my theory is that patient hitters end up getting some leeway from the ump on 2-strike counts. If he doesn't swing, the ump might be more likely to call it a ball because of how patient the hitter is. agreed. murton has no problem hitting with 2 strikes. if anything, it's when he swings early in the count that he grounds into outs. every once in a while he jumps on a fat pitch early on, but I prefer his wait and see approach.
