Only problem is, with all the people who suck in April on our team, we might not be in contention by August. I don't blame Z for that. A win late in the season counts the same as a win now.

That's what makes it so frustrating. Why on earth would he feel the need to throw over to third to pickoff Milton? It's not like a pitcher is ever going to try stealing home. He usually sucks in the beginning. Then he's the best pitcher in baseball during August. It'll be ok.

Why would that make him uncomfortable? It's not like he's on top of the plate. So if you're HBP and not crowding the plate, you won't be uncomfortable next time up?

Dunn needs to be HBP just to make him uncomfortable in the batter's box. Nothing high, just in the thigh.

What would you rather see with the players we have available? Jones and Aramis are not able to play at present. Barrett should be starting, and maybe Walker. Without either of them, and with Ramirez and Jones out, the lineup is pretty weak. Mabry at third would be nice. We have Z on the mound. Hairston was already promised the start before the injuries last game. He hasn't started a game yet. I guess Dusty could break his word. Mabry is horrible at 3B defensively. Z is a groundball pitcher. I really doubt that Mabry is going to provide enough with the bat to make up for the 1-2 errors he'll likely commit. I love Mabry as a PH. Barrett has gotten plenty of time, but he is riding a hot streak. I guess that one's a judgement call on Dusty's part.

I agree, but history hasn't been kind to phenom pitchers. Here's hoping his career's a long one. Here's hoping that he stays in the AL. -
