  1. who are the cubs? i think they play in Singapore. :? Not sure though.
  2. pitching was solid until Wuertz came in. Marshall was solid and Williamson was his usual filth self.
  3. how much of his salary do we have to pay?
  4. it's not a weakness. that's what happens when you're patient like that. you end up getting strike 3 called a lot. I prefer that to waving at stupid crap and getting strike 3. Besides, my theory is that patient hitters end up getting some leeway from the ump on 2-strike counts. If he doesn't swing, the ump might be more likely to call it a ball because of how patient the hitter is. agreed. murton has no problem hitting with 2 strikes. if anything, it's when he swings early in the count that he grounds into outs. every once in a while he jumps on a fat pitch early on, but I prefer his wait and see approach.

  6. Marshall has pitched well both games and Wuertz screws it up. Oh well. People will underestimate Marshall just looking at the box score, which works to our advantage.
  7. yeah he does. he looks a lot better this year than he was last year. healed up a bit in the offseason. :)
  8. way to not even get an out, wuertz. enjoy iowa.
  9. his wife buying him the wrong deodorant....at the time it was like an 8-4 game so it didn't really matter what he was chatting about does it ever matter what he's talking about?
  10. How many of those runs has Wuertz allowed to cross the plate? I think 4.
  11. Gooz up.... Rusch to pen .... Weurtz down ... Please?? Rusch might be our only pitcher worse than Wuertz, but at least we'll get rid of one of them. Wuertz shouldn't have made the team out of ST anyway. Let him get it together in Iowa. back to back. Where is TT? Wuertz is like his favorite player.
  12. it was your presence that cost Marshall that HR. just kidding. :D welcome.
  13. Seconded I'd like to say a walk scored that run and it helped that the guy had a little speed. If he doesn't get on base running fast to the dugout is of little value. without the SB, Pierre is on third. Without Walker's single he'd still be on second. Without the walk he wouldn't have been on base at all. The steal helped get the run, certainly, but it's merely a single link in the chain of events the plated Pierre. meh. it changed the state of the game in our favor. i applaud that.

If Pierre didn't have speed, a run wouldn't have scored in that at bat because he wouldn't have been on second. Therefore, speed got us a run. whatever. Lee would have drove him in anyway. omg.

  16. speed just scored us a run there. everyone take notice.
