    Nolan Ryan No, that was Robin Ventura stupidly chraging the mound and getting sufficiently pummelled by Nolan. Nolan Ryan took a Bo Jackson line drive to the face and continued to pitch.     How so? Alou raked, but couldn't play D or run the bases. Jones can play D, can't get on base, but is fairly adept on the basepaths. Alou's bat was pretty good for the last year and a half of his contract, but before that he was extremely unimpressive. I don't think we're going to get 1 1/2 years of good production from Jones.

Im just remembering all the DP Alou grounded into, JJ is like 1/4 of the hitter Alou was. Ah. I forgot. He just seems like a stud in comparison to the likes of Holly, CPat, Jones, Burnitz, and Dubois. :lol:
