  1. i don't think he's got any issue with that just off the top of my head it seems like he has hit a ton of opposite field home runs I've seen the home runs, but I also see him trying to pull pitches on the outer half of the plate. Maybe it's just SSS of his AB's I've seen.
  2. If he learns to go with that pitch and hit it opposite field like Sammy did, Javy's going to be a very tough out.
  3. God I hate that move so so so so so much.
  4. The PTFC fans were booing Yedlin and Martins, too. I'm sure its just the rivalry thing. Clint and Yedlin were laughing about it.
  5. Sad day. Hopefully USSF finds a way to schedule a testimonial for him.
  6. There's no way that that tweet is from Sunil; it doesn't say anything about how great Jurgen is or how hard he's working.
  7. Pep is such a colossal [expletive]. His behavior encapsulates perfectly why I hated Barca when he was there. What a [expletive] douche.
  8. cambio is money I sincerely hope you're kidding
  9. If it was your kid, I'd hope you'd be more mad at your kid than the guards. Oh, there's no doubt. Right after it happened I was wondering where the hell the kid's parents were at that they could allow him to go on the field like that. But that being said...it honestly was way excessive. You had to see it; the kid was very, very clearly a small kid and they took him down like he was catching a pass across the middle. It was brutal.
  10. The individual who ran out on the field last night at Toyota Park looked like it was about a 12 year old kid...and those security guards really hit him hard when they brought him down. If that had been my kid I'd be furious right now with those guards. That kid could have been really hurt.
  11. They got a solid starting caliber player for next year for 2 months of Lester on a last place team and a jonny gomes that has been awful. Why is it amazingly terrible? Because I think Lester is worth more than 1.2 years of a marginally above average OF?
  12. Doesn't seem like this is a done deal yet.
  13. Seattle needs to get another CM; Pineda and Alonso aren't going to hold up all year. The SSFC mids were awful last night.
  14. Yedlin forearmed Delagarza and then Gonzo knocked him down and nearly went full Pepe on him. Clint was right to shove that loveable oaf. The better part was during the setpiece when Omar was trying to smile and joke and Clint just kept swearing at him and shoving him
  15. Watching Yedlin, Gonzalez and Dempsey all fighting with each other was just weird.
  16. You'll recognize the Chicago team as the inept one. A common trait amon.gst our city's teams
  17. Hope all you listeners like your sports takes hot.
  18. I think it's fantastic that Zusi and Besler stayed with SKC. Zusi wasn't going to see PT in Europe. Besler didn't need to take marginally more money to go play with some crap lower table EPL side. Both guys will be 31 in 2018. Regardless of what that does for their prospects for Russia, the fact that two more NT starters decided to stay home and continue to strengthen the league is fantastic for the long term health of MLS and the NT. Besler in particular will probably retire a one-club guy; he's captain at SKC and grew up there. That's the kind of stuff we need to have happen more often; the more that kids see guys making a good living playing here, the more kids stick with the game through their youth. For guys like Yedlin who are 20 and still have a lot of room to grow, going to Europe makes more sense. I'd strongly prefer a team in the Bundesliga for him, though. I don't think EPL teams are going to be patient with the growing pains he'll see having to defend high-quality attacking players. Bundesliga teams tend to take a longer view, and I think it would be a better fit in general.
  19. Wouldn't have mattered if they hadn't keystone kop'd their way out of a 2nd down the stretch Yeah I only turned it on in the 84th minute and they seemed oddly uninterested in getting the ball to guys that were wide open in the box. It's been a problem for them for a couple years now. Shipp is really promising and Amerikwa is having a nice year, but they need more quality in the final third. Magee isn't that kind of player. They really need a high-quality attacking player.

  21. Dang dude, Liverpool can't even get a "at least exciting to watch" too after last year's swashbuckling style? They were very exciting to watch last year for sure, but I'm reserving judgement on how exciting they'll be this year until I see how they actually replace Suarez. They're going to be worse, no doubt. And score less goals, no doubt. You can't really replace Suarez (maybe Barca/Real could, Liverpool can't). But I would be pretty shocked if they don't continue playing an exciting, attractive brand of soccer -- albeit a little less effective version. If Sturridge can be more clinical, and if Sterling can take the next step forward they'll be good. They really need to find another central defender, two-way mid, and striker with all that SuarezCash.
  22. I think maybe my Orton hate has more to do with the meatball idiots who adored him than Orton himself.
  23. Screw that. Orton sucks. My least favorite Bears player in the last 20 years (non Olin Kreutz division).
