  1. 3-5 5-3. A couple of those teams aren't as good as their reps, and a ton of crap had to go wrong today for this game to even get to OT. Bears will be fine.
  2. Unless there was a retroactive change to the 2013 season, he finished 8-8. And LOL at the idea that the 2012 Bears were a "playoff" team. Im talking about the 2013. Forgot we went 8-8. That team should have made the playoffs if not for a number of asinine in game decisions.historically terrible defense FTFY

  4. If he goes 34/49 with 360 yards often we'll probably win a lot.
  5. He is who he is, sure, but that's nowhere near who he is. Has there been a QB who at 31 became the player everyone thought he could be? If not, that will be the last word on Jay. Kurt Warner, Rich Gannon, Joe Thiesmann, Warren Moon... As was stated before, Moon and Warner never had the chance. That's irrelevant to your point, if you're saying age has something to do with it.

  7. Cutlers performance crushed me. I know he will have better games, and games where he will look like the best QB in the league but if there was any hope that Cutler would have a career year where he is consistently a great QB, it's gone now. I guess I shouldn't expect that kind of leap at age 31 anyways. Every QB makes dumb throws. He made 2 in the game, and one of those happened to be severely punished. I think you're overracting. 2? I didn't see the whole game and saw more than that. Lucky for him one of them bounced off the numbers of a defender. The one in OT and the across-the-body stupid INT while in FG range are the two that stand out. That first INT was on Bennett, and I don't immediately recall any glaringly dumb throws other than those. ETA: if the ref called the completely obvious illegal contact late, we're probably all talking about another opening day GW drive. Not Jay's fault Jeffrey and Marshall both missed time and he was throwing to a 2010 era wideout corps.

  9. Well, they gave this one away. Stupid 2nd possession, bad fumble, bad route leading to INT, stupid throw leading to INT.
  10. Nothing like counting on an iffy defense to hold them here...
  11. They really should have run it on 2nd and 1, and really should have gotten a call on that illegal contact/defensive holding. Maybe that was a makeup call for the holding flag picked up.
  12. How the hell did that not hit the scoreboard?
  13. Clint with a nice goal today, but SSFC isn't going to win anything if they run Pineda and Alonso into the ground before October. They probably should have better cover for those two than "just move Brad Evans central". Also, the Fire are still terrible and boring.
  14. Julian Green getting loaned out to Hamburg. Not that this means he can't be very good, but if Bayern thought he was going to be a star, I feel like they would be finding a spot for him there.
  15. Chelsea's attack is wow.
  16. I feel bad for David DeGea.
  17. Arsenal already have an injury list like 10 deep. Giroud takes a step after kicking a ball and ends up with a fracture in his ankle. What I question is why Wenger hasn't taken steps to try and mitigate that. If the same players get hurt every year, then you should stop counting on said players to form your core.
  18. That's an every year thing there. Ramsey, Wilshire and Walcott are a stone cold lock to miss 2 months in the middle of the season, and that's right around when they'll fade from the title race and get knocked out of the Champions League. Because they never have any depth.
  19. Its somewhat comforting to know that sports meatballery knows no borders. Reading Arsenal fans lose their [expletive] about whether or not Mesut Özil cares or shows enough passion and fire on the field is weirdly amusing.
  20. Before Starlin, Kaplan had a hard-on for ripping Ramirez for the same kind of stuff. And he hated Sammy and contributed to the pitchfork and torch brigade running him out of town and scrubbing him from the history of the franchise like he was some Poltiburo member from 1947. At some point its a pattern.
