Big difference between that int (thrown right on target) and the tipped int last week (thrown well behind the receiver) Yeah, I'm just thinking about Gage muffing 2 catches for INT's this year, Muhammed and Clark dropping 6 passes against Carolina, etc.

On the contrary, I think Hendry has a storied history of overpayment. Off the top of my head, I would include: Baker Remlinger Alfonseca Estes Burnitz Macias Neifi He overpaid for Neifi twice. That has to be weighed more heavily.

So do you think we're going to end up signing like 4 more pitchers? Maybe like 3 more catchers and Rubby Perez? I actually think we'll end up with like 2 more utility IF/OF and one mediocre OF.

For those of you looking for a mental image of Hendry's backup/panic plan, think about a guy frantically shopping for gifts at the last minute, tossing anything and everything into a cart without regard for quality, cost or whether or not it's actually an appropriate gift.

Why Hendry wrote that opt-out clause into that contract I have no idea. I willl redo my earlier offer to say that if ARam doesn't opt out of that contract next winter I will send everyone on NSBB a can of the soda of their choice.

It could suck, but it could suck for different reasons. I'm less worried about Hendry making some dippy panic trade like Pie for Pierre than I am Hendry trying to wait deals out like he's in a poker game, and we have to rush to sign the dregs of the league in late January.

He's not. We are going to have a real fiasco on our hands. I just hope he gets really creative in Dallas. No choice now. The FA mkt is drying up quickly. This could mean saying goodbye to prospects we like... As long as Baker is our manager, that might be the best use of a great number of our prospects.

Still holding out hope? :D I'm not sure If I want him or not really. I find it really odd that no one else has picked up on this though. I'm a little afraid of what Hendry's backup plan could be. It's not like his A plan was gangbusters...
