  1. Really? Him getting stepped on, and throwing the ball away when no one was open? I'm not sure that I see those as problems with Rex. He has 15 yards and 2 INTs. You don't think that's a problem? The play calling after the 1st drive has been idiotic,
  2. You don't understand their frustration? I do. I don't. For all the crap Cubs fans get for being clueless, it's Bears fans that are by far the dumbest fanbase in the city. They have zero, and I mean zero perspective about them.
  3. Like I said. Smart bunch of fans today. If Rexs forces a throw and makes a mistake, he's a bum. If he does the smart thing and doesn't make a mistake, he's booed. Idiots.
  4. Smart bunch of fans at the game, today.
  5. Turner just has no idea how to find a middle ground between deep throws and runs straight up the middle. The first drive had the best play calls..
  6. Benson is a really tough runner.
  7. It would be nice to see a good drive put together here. A nice 4/4, 43 yr 1 TD drive from Rex would be fantastic.
  8. grossman has more than one option. he should know that if he's throwing downfield in this weather, berrian had better be pretty open. he wasn't. Berrian one on one against a bad defensive back isn't a terrible read. Bernard did a horrible job on that play by not coming back for it at all. But that was the primary read on the play and that's what he threw. There just isn't a reason to call that play in the first place. Rex's arm is alright, but that was just too far a throw for him. If he wants that read, then he needs to throw it sooner than that and he didn't. At least some of that is on Rex, like it or not. of course some is, but not as much as is being placed. Tim Ryan 'Johnson has the edge because he's managing the game.' what are we supposed to forget the tossup he made to Manning? he's just the league punching bag right now and it's not completely warranted. Exactly. Johnson is exactly what Griese is. Anyone clamoring for that is insane. People need to lay off Rex. The crowd needs to stop being stupid, Turner needs to stop being overly aggressive, and call some plays to get Rex some confidence, and Rex needs to settle down and stop trying to throw 3 TD's on one play.
  9. There's that awesome run defense.
  10. If Griese plays, that's a distinct possibility. He's just as turnover prone. He's not *this* turnover prone though. I really want Rex to get it together because I understand what you're saying. But this is going south so damn quick. Yes he is. His track record shows it. There's a reason Denver let him go. He would consistently make poor decisions. Football is just like baseball sometimes. You have a mediocre, veteran guy with a mediocre arm as a backup, and people throw adjectives around like "experienced", "savvy", "game manager", "ball control guy" and whatever. The only reason i could see a positive about Gries is he isnt very good at the deep ball. So turner might stop calling that play. Thats the only advantage i see. If that's the reason to pull Rex, then maybe it's not Rex who needs to be replaced.

  12. That explanation isn't going to wash with the mob of fans screaming for an inferior QB.
  13. If Griese plays, that's a distinct possibility. He's just as turnover prone.
  14. Griese is going to be put in this game, and I'm going to vomit.
  15. This next drive is so crucial for Rex. He needs to lead them down for points just to get the crowd off his back.
  16. The Viking O-line is getting very lucky.
  17. The rush defense doesn't get nearly the criticism they deserve. The have stretches where they tackle terribly. That penalty is on the Bears. Damn.
  18. That's not a bad read by Rex, though. He just overthrew him by about a step. A deep pass to Moose on 3rd and 2 in that situation is not the play call I want to see. Some decent pressure so far. I see what you're saying, in that it would have been better to pick up the 3rd and short, but if Moose doesn't stumble, or Rex sees the stumble and adjusts, it's a TD pass. It's hard to fault that read. Nice pressure and pick!! It wasn't that bad of a pass, but why call that play in that situation, especially when Rex is wearing glovs and it's too cold to get a good feel of the ball? Minnesota is pretty terrible in the secondary. Turner probably felt he could take advantage of that. In retrospect, though, after the bad pick it would have been better to continue that drive.
  19. This game is so critical for Rex....that really has to be his only mistake the rest of the way. How do you not recover that...
  20. It would be in your head too if an entire fanbase turned on you despite having a decent season overall.
  21. That was not what Rex needed right there....NOT good.
  22. Bad pass...Rex had Moose wide, wide open.
