    Jesus, are you still on about that movie? Am I still on it? You make it sound like I've been complaining about it incessantly. Outside of this thread, where else have you ever seen me comment on it? Maybe one post in the original thread when it first came out? But yes, that movie was so abhorrent, Cuban is scum in my book and will be for the rest of his life. That film was egregious, and he was the main man behind it. It's a significant part of his background now. It's not like I've been constantly harping on it (quite the opposite, in fact, despite my strong feelings on it). When the topic of Cuban comes up, it's fair game though, and it always will be. God forbid he provide financing to a production company that produced a movie exposing a bunch of soldiers doing anything but curing AIDS and saving babies from angry Islamic funadmentalists. It has nothing to do with him having the potential to be the ideal owner of a baseball team. If he were looking at buying his way onto the Joint Chiefs of Staff, sure.

    Fulham win their second straight for the first time all year 2-0 over B'Ham. Coupled with Reading's loss, this moves them (temporarily) out of the relegation zone. What's more, I believe they control their own fate. Win next weekend against Pompey, and they survive.

    Chelsea 2-1 over Man U at the Shed. Man U were terrible, Rooney got hurt, and now the last 2 weeks of the Prem are going to be pretty interesting.

    I'm still fricking stunned Cristiano missed that. I have no idea why he tried to get cute with it. It's a CL Semi on the road, not a midweek FA fixture against Bolton. Blast the fricking ball into the net, man.

    The smart-ass answer to this would be on May 28, when the USMNT plays England in a friendly. Isn't Spain before that? I think that could be the big La Liga/Jozy showcase. I believe it's Spain/England/Argentina/Random Island Nation Yes, this. Keep him out of the Prem. I'd also wish that a certain Serie A side would have shown more interest in Michael Bradley. Juve or Milan? Honestly, either. I know you hate yourself some Juve, but a Serie A CL level side would be a better place for him to develop than playing for a mid table Prem team like Blackburn or whoever it was that's set to buy him this summer.

    Watching Jozy play at age 18 is like watching all the Cub prospects that never panned out panning out. Barring injuries, it's looking like was actually have a world class forward who's an actual forward. I like Parkhurst as well, and I wonder why Bradley hasn't given him more of a look in central defense for the USMNT. Most of his lineups have had the same 2 guys in central defense, and we need to build more depth than just Gooch and Boca.

    Again, I never said Pods was a better player, but he is a better lead off hitter than Lee... Oh my Kent. Leadoff hitter is not a flipping position. Seriously, I have a rock that keeps tigers away. Would you like to buy it?

    This last sentence is the only context in which one could make the argument that trading Lee for Podsednik wasn't monumentally dumb. On it's own merits, it's one of the worst trades ever. A wash defensively, and a complete wipeout offensively. The only thing Podsednik is better than Lee at is being white. They won because their ENTIRE staff had career years. Literally every guy. Not because Podsednik ran around and stole bases at a 71% clip (below break even).

    One thing that speaks well for the Gooners is that Theo Walcott is still only like 20 and is the fastest player I've ever seen. He's going to be special, like, really, really special.

    That was not a fair result. Man U was outplayed. Ronaldo looked hung over most of the game-his touch was not there and he made poor decisions, often going 1v2 or 1v3. Rooney played very well. Bendtner should have scored twice in the last 15 minutes. Adebayor squandered chances in the first half, too.

    So do you think some of Roma's players are going to have flashbacks of last years 2nd leg beating at Old Trafford? Also, when is Arsene Wenger going to take Theo Walcott's training wheels off and just let him start?

    I predict Liverpool advance 0 to -1 on aggregate Avram Grant still hasn't realized that it's not illegal for him to play Anelka and Drogba at the same time up front. It's like giving a sports car to a guy with one foot and no hands.

    Any game where Chad Barrett resembles Wayne Rooney in any way other than physically, you know you were playing a bad defense with a man down. If Barrett at some point this season begins to bang hookers and get red carded every 5th game, we'll know he's heard the comparison too many times.
