Yes to EJ, no to Adu :banghead: Adu is carrying a hamstring injury, FWIW. If it takes a run out against the Oranje and a complete embarrassment to ensure the death of Zombie Beasley, I'll deal with it.

The only players that did themselves any favors tonight were Pearce, Ching and Sacha, and the latter only because Bradley will give him as much rope as possible. Maybe Goodison too. I like Brad Davis but he's no shot this cycle. Everyone else was either anonymous or horrid. Robbie Rogers is just Bobby Convey with different hair. Just a waste of talent with no soccer brain whatsoever. Findley and Cunningham just don't have it. Casey is inferior to Ching in every area except age, and for the role they'd have to play, I'd take Ching. Credit to him-he played like he really, really cared tonight, and it showed. As mediocre as he is at the international level, he was the best player for us tonight. Zombie Heath Pearce at least showed he could provide cover this summer. I maintain Sacha sucks. With all the gilt-edged chances he had, he was bound to score at some point. Jesus our B team is bad.

That Dutch game is gonna be ugly. Like Germany in 2006 ugly. Like 5-1 ugly. We'd need our full team to make a game out of Holland, away. We are without our 1st choice player at F, RM, and CB. Without our 1st choice pairing for Mikey. I like the kits as rendered, but want nothing to do with a red 3rd kit.

It's funny. The guy who screwed up Arsenal's non backpass backpass was the Henry handball red, and the idiot who missed Klose being offside was the guy who handled Barca/Chelsea last year and did a pathetic job.

Tonight I came to the firm conclusion that Rio Ferdinand is past his sell by date. Also, I came to the conclusion that I hope Wayne Rooney pulls a hammy sometime between June 1st and June 11th. How does a veteran team like Milan not mark the best striker in the world on two occasions?

I can never figure out if Benny is actually good or not. JFT, though...I actually do think he's good. Good matchup for him, too. Now watch BB put Edu and Bradley on the field. I also think that if Adu has any hope whatsoever to be in the 23, he's going to have to get some tick in this match. With Benny, Deuce and Clark out for this one, if Adu can't make this roster he's gonna have to wait to 2014. Never underestimate the USSF's ability to jack up a youth prospect.

FWIW the Aris fans on BigSoccer love both of them, and Adu in particular is getting love for his workrate, which I never thought I'd see. Watching the stream, EJ's off the ball runs are so much better than they were. I still think he's pants, but he may bear watching. Also, Torres scored a pretty sweet goal today off a free kick.

Adu opened his account today and is looking really good so far for Aris. The look of joy after he scored is just awesome.

Johnson-----Rio----Terry-----Bridge does not scare me. Or Jozy and Clint. Johnson is like the EPL Bornstein. Rio has been either hurt, suspended or bad the entire term-seriously, like approaching Agoos 2002 or Pope 2006 bad. He's going to kill England in the knockout stages when they play good teams. Terry is overrated. Bridge sucks. Johnson, Cole and Rio all will have missed significant time with injuries come June. If I were Capello, I'd put Baines or Warnock back there before Bridge, honestly.

On the plus side, Ashley Cole is as much of a wank as John Terry, so whatever. Can't wait to see Wayne Bridge and Brave John on the same backline in a couple weeks.

Wow. Ashley Cole out 3 months with a broken ankle...after a tackle with LD. As if that game won't have enough subplots. Also, word is getting out that Deuce should be back on the field in March.

FOX FOX for real. Joe Buck and Robbie Earle in the box? HD on FOX....they could put Buck and effing Aikman in the booth and it wouldn't bother me. Seriously, this is going to be the best summer of soccer ever. I was thinking bring John Madden out of retirement. Pat Summerall.
