  1. Poor Fiorentina. And way to show up, Porto.
  2. Its like the decided to make half the team decent guys (Lampard, Joe Cole, Kalou, Ballack) and half the team insufferable doucebags (Terry, Ashley Cole, Malouda, Le Sulk)
  3. There's also the chance that this is all posturing to get Cole to drop his wage demands.
  4. I agree. He's a better, more skilled Joe Cole. This loan has highlighted that he really is as good as the talent you surround him with. He's a truly class complimentary player. Kind of why he can be so hit or miss in MLS and with the Nats, he can't be expected to be able to enforce himself on a game with sub par supporting casts. I wouldn't hate him staying at Everton either. They were ridiculous today out there with the midfield of LD, Rodwell, Arteta and Pienaar. Just flying. That's also why Jozy needs to get the hell out of Hull. He can't get anything from his teammates. Yeah, LD is a classic second banana. Far more comfortable being a dime guy than the spotlight guy, but thats okay. Thats why our offense running through the wings with LD and Deuce works-one takes the pressure off the other, defenses can't mark them both out of the game and they have freedom to pinch in and roam a bit. Hull have the worst midfield I've ever seen out of a top flight side. Truly terrible. I can't wait til Jozy comes correct this summer and goes to a real club with a real midfield that can, you know, pass the ball properly. EDIT: I will say that, prior to his injury, Joe Cole and his short shorts were a hell of a player. I thought he was England's best in 2006. Dangerous attacker. Indifferent defender.
  5. Huet should just start banging his teammates girlfriends and wives again. That should get him going.
  6. I think LD would kill at the Shed with all that talent around him.
  7. He really needs to stop all this raping.
  8. I wish more of our attacking players would spend a couple seasons in Holland.
  9. Sniejder is obviously really good, but was anyone really that impressed with Holland? Are they that dependent on RVP? Kuyt to me is just a worker bee, they don't rate Huntelaar very highly and Robben is internationally inconsistent. They should have throttled us last night but just lacked something. I wasn't impressed.
  10. Watching it last night was like watching Neifi get two doubles and a walk. I was happy for the performance on the night, but I know it's not indicative. So long as he's a situational sub and not a starter.... At least we get Gooch and Clint back in a couple weeks, fresher for June. It was a horrible tackle deserving of a red. I'm glad he didn't end up like Ramsey, I still have that image scared into my brain. I think I am happier to see Algeria get spanked again then anything last night. My confidence with a full squad against England has gone up. I think we could spring some guys free against their back line. On set pieces I am not as confident. England's backline is hot garbage considering the talent base they should have. If our backline can avoid the inexplicable brain cramps we usually have once a game, we could pull a pont.
  11. Holden out six weeks with a fractured shin. How De Jong didn't see red is beyond me. Watching it last night was like watching Neifi get two doubles and a walk. I was happy for the performance on the night, but I know it's not indicative. So long as he's a situational sub and not a starter.... At least we get Gooch and Clint back in a couple weeks, fresher for June.
  12. Also, we really miss Clint and Gooch. The latter is a much better distributor out of the back that either Demerit or Boca (who both just boot it anytime they can) and Clint's presence means than opposing mids can't mark LD out of games. When one of LD or Clint isn't there, the other isn't as effective.
  13. -JFT was weak tonight. Wolf is spot on: timid and weak. Very disappointing. -Bornstein was his usual Jekyll and Hyde self -LD was quiet as was Edu -Jozy was just fantastic. Can't wait until he's dominant next cycle. Strong the whole time despite being asked to play target forward and having garbage strikemates. -I do not like the fact that Zombie Beasley played a fairly good game. He's going going going to hurt us if he's on the 23. Remember this. -Mikey was strong. I like Bedoya a lot as well. He's one for next cycle. -De Jong should have seen straight red. I would expect Stu to be out a while. That was a straight dirty play. -Specs was iffy. The ref was a joke. Boca's lucky he scored because I thought defensively he was burned several times. It was a better performance than I thought it would be. Our subs actually outplayed theirs, which was very unexpected.
  14. I can't remember if the kits run large or not. And there are still no scarves on the web wtf
  15. The new kits are available as of today...got to decide between Mikey and Clint. Also, I'm going on record by saying that I really hope Zombie Beasley plays terribly tonight.
  16. I just hope the Hawks players took something away from this experience that they can use come playoff time, Kane in particular.
  17. When Kane broke in 2 v 2 and started stickhandling, I thought he would generate a chance, but you could tell he was beat by the way he lost the puck. Credit to him, though. Without him hustling back to deny clear chances on Miller, we probably don't see OT. The US played flat hard for 60+., harder than Canada IMO. They were bound to just get tired at some point. Its a trend I see our NT on the soccer side too, FWIW.
  18. USA looked flat gassed, Kane, Suter and Parasi in particular. When fatigue kicks in, and there's already a talent gap, it was only a matter of time.
  19. WOOHOOO!!! Like I said, through Kane!!
  20. Come on. One more clear chance here
  21. I meant for your team, Patrick.
  22. Any goal here for USA is going to go through Kane. He's on form tonight.
  23. Kane is bringing it today.
  24. I forgot to record this. How was it? Any uncomfortable moments? Bridge refused to shake Terry's hand prior to the game, the Chelsea fans booed his every touch, and Mancini took him off in the 75th to ensure no further nonsense.
