  1. Does anyone happen to have a clip of either Jody singing with Sutcliffe and Moreland or the one of Harry Caray singing the Jody Davis song? We have been trying to find them on the internet anywhere for the home opener and haven't had any luck. Feel free to email me at nathanb@Chiefsnet.com if you can help! Thanks Nathan
  2. Tonight's Chiefs lineup. Gregg CF Ciarmella RF Chirinos 2B Norwood 1B Garcia DH Taylor 3B Valdez LF Muyco C Johnston SS Blackford P With a lefty on the mound, lefties Reed and Defendis out of the lineup...Another lefty throwing saturday afternoon as well for Wisconsin...
  3. Eric- I was just wondering who your favorite Midwest League broadcaster is, and if you heard any trash talking on Opening night when Sam Fuld connected for his first homer of the season before you did? :D Have a great season man, you know we are all rooting for you big time back here in Peoria! Nathan
  4. he was released....i asked after the game.
  5. Just didnt have the command. the stuff was there, good hard FB. but he just missed his spots. then made a bad pitch to Craig on the HR.
  6. looks to me like brandon has a great quick bat and good range at third, at least for one game! just missed that double. the screen was in my way but Jody said it was foul. i expect big things from him hitting behind norwood and garcia who are both gonna get on base a lot. brandon will have plenty of RBI opportunities. thanks for listening and the question! Nathan
  7. thanks! both for listening and responding! you never with new equipment....
  8. for anyone listening to the Chiefs how does the quality sound? They gave me different equipment that I have never used and Im curious to how the quality is.... thanks!! Nathan
  9. We arent on Live365 this season. Just straight through MiLB. There is a link on the bottom right of our website or you can just go to minorleaguebaseball.com, click on multimedia and then Audio to get the pop-up player. its still free. Interview with Jody tonight at approx 6:25 Wisconsin will throw: RH Jason Snyder, LH Justin Thomas, LH Paul Fagan, RH Marwin Vega... Tonight we are starting: Gregg cf Ciaramella RF Chirinos 2b Norwood 1b Garcia DH Taylor 3b Defendis LF Reed C Johnston SS Veal P Same lineup that started vs. Bradley except Reed replaces Muyco... lets get it on!!! I hope to hear from you all throughout the night....
  10. Thursday: Donnie Veal vs. Jason Snyder Friday: Todd Blackford Saturday: Mike BIllek Sunday: Jesus Yepez Monday: Mitch Atkins @ Cedar Rapids. I'll post Wisconsin's tomorrow after the 5 hour bus ride!
  11. Larsen was released in January....Collins is in rehab in Mesa and I believe Granato was released at the end of camp....
  12. Gwaltney had shoulder surgery in Spetember. I talked to him when I was in Mesa a few weeks back and he is rehabbing. He has also been moved to the bullpen permanently which he loves. He hopes to be pitching somewhere in July.... Hagerty had to go past short-season he was too old to be back in Boise. Had he been a reliever I think it would have been here, but as it is we already have 7 guys (atkins and estrada seem to be the odd men out) with starting experience plus Pawelek and Taylor "waiting in the wings" I think Shaver will be highly successful as a lefty out of the pen....
  13. Thanks for the catch on Yepez, you are correct. Teasley finished the year here last season picking up 3 saves in 4 games. I agree he has a lot of potential. Started at San Diego State and then went to Point Loma Nazarene. I think he and Phelps will be our two end of the game guys and both have the chance to be highly successful in that role...
  14. I think it was pretty unrealistic to expect to see Sam Fuld in AA Craig. He is a centerfielder which means that if he were to go there, then Chris Walker would be held back and I don't think anyone wanted that to happen. The CF's are pretty clear cut everywhere. Pie, Walker, Fuld, Gregg. And I think it will stay that way until Felix moves up to Chicago. Also, I don't expect Pawelek to stay in Arizona until the Boise season starts. I don't have any inside info at all, I haven't heard anything but I won't be surprised if they are just building his pitch count in AZ before he comes here. It looks like Phelps will compete for the closers job here and that is probably why he is back, to turn him into a closer. I guess we'll know more in the next week or two! Best time of the year!!! enjoy.... Nathan
  15. Norwood will play vs. Bradley. Wick was supposed to be here when we sent that out, but Morgan came instead. Starters are (in this order): Veal, Blackford, Billek, Yepez and Atkins. Yepez and Atkins will both throw 3 innings vs. Bradley. Estrada is in the bullpen. I believe Phelps and Teasley are both in contention to close....those are from preliminary conversations this evening with players and coaches as they got their first looks at the ballpark....
  16. Talking to some of the guys here tonight, it looks like Shaver is in the bullpen and Hagerty will start.
  17. nope. i think BU might broadcast it but ill be roaming around the ballpark doing anything but work! ha!
  18. that is our roster for the last day of the season. There are quite a few guys on that list who have been released. Minor league baseball.com takes the rosters right off our websites and that wont be updated until we update ours which should be MOnday...I'll post ours here as soon as i get the release finalized...
  19. Hey Karen thanks for the question and I look forward to seeing you and Keith in a few weeks. We are back on WOAM 1350. The brand new deal hadn't been worked out when it was time to go to press on the pocket schedules so that's why it wasn't on there. But we did come to an agreement with WOAM and will be back there. And back on the website as well for those who listen on the net. Looks like we will dump the Live365 portion and just go through Minor League Baseball if the engineers and technicians at the station can get everything worked out!
  20. nah i think we are back in the Econo Lodge. And actually we moved the visiting players this year from the downtown Holiday Inn to the East Peoria Super 8 just across the river. and all those are better than the hotel in Clinton
  21. I believe we are right about the same pace we were last year 3 weeks ahead of the season starting. Always tough selling the April May "cold games" and then things usually start to pick up quite a bit around Memorial Day Weekeend. You can always opt for th Build Your Own Package which has a minimum of 10 games and no MAX and then you can pick and choose any games you want around your work schedule. Its on the season tickets page of our website. Your good friend Myron will be here June 3 and August 25!
  22. probably start in Daytona but I wouldn't be surprised to see Sean in West Tenn this season. we get the final rosters Monday April 3rd when they arrive in town. Hopefully we will get some kind of heads up, preliminary roster the Friday before, but who knows?!
  23. Bo was playing on Monday in Mesa on Daytona's field when I was there. Didnt talk to him too much other than to shake hands, say hi how are you and best of luck this season. I hadn't heard anything else. I'll see if I can get some more info this week. FYI: Quan Cosby who was a freshman wide reciever for the National Champion Texas Longhorns this year played against us in Cedar Rapids in 2003 and 2004....and Tim Lemon who was on the Chiefs from 2001-2004 is currently heading into his soph season at Colorado so it is possible...

  25. The way that it works is as follows: All 4 teams (Iowa, West Tenn, Daytona, Peoria) play the same affiliate. If AAA and AA are home then the two A teams are on the road and vice versa....
