  1. Last night, Nomar graciously agreed to be my pre-game guest tonight at 5:30 PM. He was great to everyone here yesterday, just a class act and even handled the media perfectly. He signed in the rain for about 45 minutes. We are now sold out for tonight and tomorrow, selling more standing room only tickets hoping for 8000+ which is just phenomenal. Nomar will play game 1 today and not game 2. Not to contribute to or squelch any rumors, but he and Oneri both said he will be back in Chicago on Firday where they will sit down and evaluate and hammer out a plan. I wouldn't ecpect him anywhere else until at least Saturday. Also, Oneri agreed to do a few innings as a color guy tonight....not sure when it will happen. If its up to me I'd go with game 2 so he can evaluate Nomar's appearance, but his family is here with him so I don't know what the plan will be....Thats all from here. I will update late if I can!! Nathan
  2. i will get the audio up...i am about 2 months behind in cutting clips and i havea ton ready to post...maybe after this Zoo of a week (but in a great way!!) is over i will have some time.... We do have video, trying to figure out how to get it to ESPN and the likes!
  3. 1st and 2nd no outs...schmidt diving catch in right-center....both runners werent watching...Schmidt to Patterson as cut-off, to Simokaitis at 2nd for the 2nd out,....back to Larsen at 1st for the 3rd out...neither runner even made it back halfway to 2nd base.... 1st triple play in O'Brien Field History...

  5. Chiefs to start at 2:45 EST after this joke of a groundscrew finally gets the field playable
  6. Billek will start in Peoria Monday (assuming we ever start today as we are in a "rain" delay...appears they dont believe in tarping in Lansing when rain is expected overnight....and it was a MASSIVE storm) Weber pushed back to Tuesday, Johnson to Wed more info at http://www.peoriachiefs.com
  7. Chiefs now down 10-6 in 9th...Patterson doubled in 8th but Fuld out at plate trying to scored from 1st to end the inning.
  8. Estrada is ok. Heat was also a factor for him coming out (99 plus humidity). He shouldnt miss a start
  9. They didnt just yank Estrada, he came up lame after fielding a bunt in the 6th...faced the next 2 batters but didnt have the same oomph on his FB or follow through leg kick.... it looked like a groin when he lunged for the ball, no report from the clubhouse yet, hopefully he is ok....
  10. Truffle- i understahdn your point, but there are 2 reasons it wont happen. 1. Cubs love to keep guys at one level . Dopirak definitely deserved a promotion last year...agreed? PLus they' dlike to see Eric contend for a batting title and help us contend for a playoff spot. 2. Where do you play him? Chirinos is hitting .260 at 2nd in Daytona, Theriot hitting .300 in WEst Tenn. and Fontenot hitting .280 in IOwa. so unless Walker goes down again and everyone goes up a level, i dont see it happening... just my 2 cents...
  11. He showed up to the park late...was in the original lineup but missed stretch...and was removed by Garcia.. don't jump the gun, I'll be shocked if he, harvey or gallagher go anywhere this year...
  12. I wouldn't call it laughable or bad....He leads the Chiefs and is 3rd in the league with 7 assists on the season...and he has had 3 more where the catcher has dropped the ball or been knocked over and had the ball jarred loose.... Just my opinion from seeing him everyday but his arm is better than all our OF's but Harvey
  13. He will replace Pie in world outfield. We sent out a press release about 4:00 today. He will be my guest on our pre-game today at 6:30 central to talk about it. You can listen live through our website... Full story at http://www.peoriachiefs.com Thanks Nathan
  14. Francisco played just a few weeks with us here in Peoria at 3B/1B...then he threw a perfect 9th inning in a 14-2 loss and hit 92 MPH on the gun. He is now back in Mesa being converted to a pitcher.... Hope that helps! Nathan
