  1. LF Jake Fox CF Sam Fuld RF Micah Hoffpauir Not gonna happen
  2. Good bench option, hope he does well.
  3. Terrible deal at that money, but it also took Aaron Miles becoming the worst player in baseball to make it look as bad as it does now. What's with Hendry and the 2 yr/5mill deals for backups? (Miles, Blanco, Perez)
  4. So far, he's not even close. Sample size. yeah - 40 innings at 3B. For the record - this is exactly what I wanted the Cubs to do. Put him at 3B and hope he hits a ton while not killing us defensively. But the point wasn't to do that so the Cubs would hold on to him. We've got nowhere to put him. Soriano and Lee aren't going anywhere. I don't think Hendry is looking to move Bradley (and Fox in RF would be a disaster). When ARam's back, he's not getting traded. So Fox has nowhere to play but corner utility player/PH. If Hendry can trade him to an AL team looking for a DH that can maybe play 1B/3B in a pinch and get something valuable back, it makes sense to do that soon. Even more so if ARam can be back in 2 weeks or less. Agreed, it has the potential to add a little trade value and it's worth not seeing more playing time for Blanco, Fontenot and Freel. Also, once Ramirez gets back, he could be available to give him a day off here and there if needed.
  5. Beautiful half, beautiful pictures, thanks
  6. It looks like Dempster has ok command of the changeup, good command of the slider and can't spot the fastball to save his life
  7. Vazquez is definitely catching more of the plate
  8. Really needed that, Geo's looking better on his throws of late
  9. I get the feeling we'll be seeing some Kevin Hart tonight
  10. Control has not gotten better, good thing Vasquez will give up an out and you had some early swings last inning
  11. Fukudome trying to bunt, at least it's not as likely to end in a double play
  12. Dempster's not hitting his spots with his fastball, but got bailed out there
  13. It's a bit curious, but I'm sure you see this with other left handed power hitters off the bench. It's a tad curious with Fox tonight, but Lou is probably just trying to ride the momentum and doesn't want to move Lee out of cleanup.
  14. don't see him, with the double switch I assume he's going to go 3
  15. His numbers are impressively bad, especially considering how ridiculously good his April was. Well he gets more at bats than anyone else and he doesn't walk so when he isn't hitting he's going a guaranteed 0-5 for days straight And we're lucky enough that we'll get to see him playing LF and leading off for years to come. consistency is key
  16. you could say that about more than a couple of guys
  17. maybe we'll get to see patton today http://www.cartwilliams.com/archives/patton.jpg
  18. Yeah, I agree, but he may very well be able to readjust, but patience is running thin.
  19. We'll see how long this cold streak lasts for Font. He's still a player with good patience and power, and historically a .270+ hitter on all fronts. I fully expect his average to rebound and for him to be a decent starter. Until then, some time off could be good.
