  1. Brewers win 1-0
  2. That insurance run really helps out though, all 3 of the Astros worthwhile hitters can hit homers and we'll still win 33% there
  3. Well, I guess this was going to be the defensive switch anyway, just makes sure Lou doesn't forget to make it.
  4. And then.. Kendall strikeout Counsell flyout Weeks 3 swinging strikes
  5. He was around his plate. He couldn't put away some hitters, got into deep counts and ended up walking them, but had a good looking outing. Apparently the walks were due to a very inconsistent strike zone. A few ball 4's were obvious strike 3's. Yeah, he definitely wasn't wild, and was very near the plate. A lot of movement on his fastball might have played a role, too.
  6. Brewers threatening on Wainright in the 8th - 1st and 2nd no out
  7. He was around his plate. He couldn't put away some hitters, got into deep counts and ended up walking them, but had a good looking outing.
  8. Gah Cubs bench today -> Miles, Freel, Johnson, Hill
  9. they may stick Marshall in the pen and hopefully say goodbye to Neal Cotts. I think it's still up in the air at this point.
  10. And with pitch count almost becoming a concern, bunting on the first pitch.
  11. I'm surprised there wasn't a Berkman solo shot there
  12. Cubs hitters are doing a good job getting into deep counts, just are making too many outs now. Hopefully the 6th can be a breakout inning.
  13. The key difference here is that Neifi showed he was pretty terrible before that season, while Scales has put together a good minor league career and hasn't been given a chance to show what he can do in the majors. There's much more reason to believe Scales can be an .800 OPS guy this year than there was for Neifi. Scales can be a nice role player, but people shouldn't be thinking about him being an 800 OPS guy. Yeah, I definitely agree, especially given his age, but the likelihood of achieving this for the time Ramirez is pretty decent, and he's shown a propensity to have good discipline and power.

  15. It's like we're watching U.S. v. Mexico soccer, terrible officiating and a whole lot of flops
  16. The Celtics never think they foul anyone
  17. Everyone in the game has gone cold, might be a good time to go to Hinrich out of timeout.
  18. guy in the crowd with an "im on a boat" shirt
