If we don't get HFA, its our own fault; Bears' [8-0 in NFC] remaining schedule strength; (@STL 5-7, TB 3-10, @DET 2-11, & GB 5-8 = 15-36 [10-29 after tonight]) Saints' [8-1 in NFC] remaining schedule strength; (WAS 4-9, @NYG 7-6, & CAR 6-7 = 17-22) Yes, but look at the way each team is playing and the injury situation. HFA is far, far from assured. We would need to win 3/4. If we lose tonight, we will need to win out to secure it. Tampa Bay, Detroit, and the Packers dont seem to be much trouble.

    There would be nothing fantastic about it. It might be enough to win the division (far from a lock), but that's not really much of an accomplishment. Yeah, the Cardinals won the NL Central in 2006 with 82 wins. Not much of an accomplishment. What did it allow them to do? Win the World Series. Now, is that not much of an accomplishment? The point is to get to the dance. Who cares how it happened? I agree. Who cares HOW you get there, JUST GET THERE!

    im not sure what Jocketty will do.... but i think this is a pretty weak division if it stands like this.

    If we're throwing those guys in... Veal > Gallagher > Guzman > Pawelek > Marmol > Huseby > Marshall > Ryu > Mateo i see Mateo becoming a reliable fifth starter.. or a relief pitcher, same for Ryu.

    Isn't it a lot more realistically going to look like this: Zambrano Lilly Marquis Hill Prior/Miller/Guzman/Marshall et al. I just can't see the lefties being set back to back. i dont like this rotation, that said, im hoping Prior and probably Miller can come back to the dominent selves they were before.
