  1. I am almost certain it one of the teams in this trade is the White Sox.
  2. i want 14-2 because of the fact that it could be Favre's last game, and becuse 13-3 reminds me of the last 13-3 season.
  3. He's as much a lock for the HOF as anyone else is.
  4. I dont think anyone knows what the Sox are doing.
  5. they sure showed they never give up.... my favorite of this was BIG BEN draining 2 freethrows to tie the game up!
  6. Thank god we're playing the Bucs... same here, , i think they should rest 'em for the playoffs.
  7. i think Sosa and Soriano's English is the same.
  8. his NFL career may not be over, but it is as a Bear. one more thing i wanted to ask, do you guys want Tank anywhere near this team now?
  9. that's insane. coming to a stadium near you, the next most overrated, overpaid player in baseball. i can't believe that ricciardi would pay him that much money. if his batting average dips to around his career level, you're looking at a 18 million dollar, moderately above average player. He's significantly younger and as productive as Soriano. And there isn't a question about his defense. So, while it's probably overpaying for less than steller production, it's not the most overrated overpaid player in baseball. okay, i'll give you that soriano is more overpaid, but vernon wells is definitely more overrated, whatever that means. people are calling him a "budding superstar" which is completely inaccurate. anyone who thinks of wells as anything more than simply a good baseball player is believing whatever hype web gems feeds them. It's not that bad, it's more of a lack of identification of a career year. If he could repeat his .360/.540 production he'd definitely be a stud in CF. no doubt, but not a superstar. but i'll predict he'll be closer to .280/.330/.500 next season, pretty good for CF, but not worthy of the cash he'll be getting. so then what do you think Soriano will do next season, when alot of people would say they would rather have wells.
  10. I also had a wrist injury once, and believe me it takes long to fully heal, plus the lingering effects always have remaind.
  11. boo hoo. what about us? it looks like someone broke open our safe. :D
  12. He could be good if we put him in a position to suceed. For instance, if he was only ever allowed to pinch run (not steal) and never touch a bat or a glove, he'd be amazing at his job. Can't argue with that. GREAT! I like it.
  13. I just hope this doesnt turn out to become a HUGE distraction and hurt this team, which i think it will.
  14. They ask for passports, but im not sure about Visa's
  15. so is blanton and harden and probably everyone else on the team Too bad we don't have anything Beane would want. I'd love to have Haren, Harden or Blanton on the Cubs. I can see Beane liking Murton (good player, good patience, cheap for a while yet), if not others. I cant see Hendry trading Murton.
  16. I bet the Padres sign him I do too. Hendry is taking a huge gamble with DeRosa. I hope he pans out. I say Mets. Padres, without a doubt.
  17. and hes a player who is worth the money they are offering.
  18. so... if he wouldnt take it, What does he expect to get in the open market?... 10/200?
  19. so is blanton and harden and probably everyone else on the team Too bad we don't have anything Beane would want. I'd love to have Haren, Harden or Blanton on the Cubs. i could name so many many players on the A's that i would want.
  20. did anybody get the Highlights of last nights game on youtube or anything other than NFL.com?
  21. Houston also kicks in WIllie Tavares. Giving $ for Marquis doesn't look so bad in comparison. Why couldn't he have accepted cupons? I like that Idea. :D
