  1. I must have been listening to the other Tim Kurukijianjdsaninwwhfij, but I thought he said either Fukudome or Soriano would bat 5th
  2. Do u have OBP and SLG backwards? Actually, I think the site I used is wrong. FoxSports.com's "splits" page is all screwed up. Check it out: http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/playerSplits?categoryId=85122&seasonSelected=2&splitYearForm=Go According to that, over the last 3 years he's hit .370 against lefties, and .314 against righties. Obviously some calculations must have went way wrong. he's at 282/364/464 vs LHP over the past 3 years, 242/305/407 vs RHP
  3. ha, finally figured out who he is -- for "some" reason I thought this was the first post of the thread...
  4. "Hit hard" "Mediocre effort" "luckless" Ringing endorsements if I've ever heard them. Full steam ahead, never mind the icebergs! Kerry Wood knows how to quote the Associated Press. top that
  5. then maybe his name on cubs.com should have been "Tim2"
  6. he would have struck out 7 that inning but he's a brittle sham
  7. It was perfectly clear to me and many others here. Can't help it if you weren't paying attention like the rest of us. [-X [-X I simply want the Cubs to win the division, the league and the World Series this year, that's all. To put any hope on having Wood as the closer, given his history of DL stints and who knows how many games he wasn't or won't be available, is bad decision making. Again, he has ZERO saves in his career. How would you ever determine a closer if they're not allowed to ever get their first save? Everyone starts at zero. Goose Gossage started at 100. And he pitched 6 inning saves with regularity. I thought this asshattery was done when Prior left since Kerry isn't good looking and college educated. Oh well, anonymous hatred for people with misfortune will never end. Lee Smith started at 1500 and worked backwards
  8. fixed thanks for that fixed
  9. I probably just would have picked "Tim2" or something like that
  10. there's a big difference between catching first and pitching later and vice versa -- pitchers throw the ball a lot harder than catchers, putting a lot more stress on the arm. when you pitch first, the damage is done, and it's probably not smart to keep throwing
  11. it's a lot better than Theriot's His D is fading fast. I'd rather have Theriot than Uribe right now. I'd rather have a poke in the eye with a sharp stick than either, but I'd definitely pick Uribe over Theriot
  12. maybe next time you don't break it, whaddya say there big guy? ;)
  13. overreaction in game threads can be funny, it's just plain pathetic during ST games
  14. Luke might want to consider retirement
  15. I predicted a few years ago that George Burns would die someday. Stupid life-hater... I'm a genius
  16. BBCode is off, and I've only noticed it in Events
  17. I hope they don't go, I never liked the idea in the first place. Good for the players for sticking up for the coaches.
